Elinneus Davis Elinneus Davis 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Moorhead | 2023 State MN DT – Moorhead High School (6’4″ 300lbs)
Boasting multiple Power 5 offers, Davis is the cream of the crop when it comes to northern Minnesota prospects in the class of 2023. With elite size, strength and quickness, Davis is pretty much unblockable for the vast majority of the teams he faces. Davis does a great job of defeating blocks, utilizing his reach and quick hands to make life miserable for OL. The sky is the limit for Davis and I expect more Power 5 offers to come his way in the next few months.
Landon Blaufuss Landon Blaufuss 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Breckenridge | 2023 State MN DE – Breckenridge High School (6’3″ 210lbs)
Blaufuss has your prototypical DE build, with long levers, good lower body flexability and a high motor. His recruitment is flying under the radar a bit but I expect that to change as he hits the camp circuit this spring and summer. My favorite part of Blaufuss’ game is how he uses his hands to defeat blocks. He has a solid punch that shows up on both sides of the ball. I’d expect Blaufuss to pick up his fair share of offers in the coming months.
Nolan Witt RB – Esko High School (6’0″ 205lbs)
Witt is a north/south runner who has breakaway speed in the open field. There isn’t a whole lot of wiggle in his game, but who needs it when you can run away or run over defenders? Witt was the district offensive player of the year last year, and is the favorite to repeat next fall. My favorite part of Witt’s game is his physicality as a runner, which will translate well to the next level. Expect Witt’s recruitment to heat up in the coming months.
Ethan Klimek ATH – Nevis High School (6’0″ 175lbs)
Klimek lines up as the QB for the Nevis Tigers but I am not sure if that’s where his home will be at the next level. He shows a good arm but is limited in the routes that he throws. The intriguing part of his game is the athleticism and speed that he showcases on a number of designed runs and scrambles. My favorite part of his game is his wiggle in the open field and the speed to run away from defenders. Klimek is an intriguing prospect and I expect him to get his fair share of looks from colleges at the next level. Where he plays will ultimately come down to his future school but there’s a lot to work with for whatever coaching staff signs him.
