There are six wide receivers in the Top 50 and nine wide receivers overall for the Class of 2025 in Missouri in the Prep Redzone database, which continues to grow every day.
Today we are taking a closer look at the top prospects. (Click on the player names to check out their prospect pages on PRZ, including links to their HUDL highlights.)
1. [player_tooltip player_id="177938" first="Isaiah" last="Mozee"], Lee's Summit North
Mozee, a 6-foot, 175-pounder, is the No. 1 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2025 after a freshman season where he excelled as a starter on one of the top teams in the state.
Mozee recorded 25 catches for 398 yards and five touchdowns and added two rushing scores during his freshman campaign.
He has received early scholarship offers from Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Oregon, Nebraska, Texas A&M and Arkansas, among others.
2. [player_tooltip player_id="179182" first="Justin" last="Price"], Lutheran North
Price, a 5-11, 180-pounder, is ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2025.
Price was Lutheran North's third-leading receiver during his freshman campaign when he caught 13 passes for 317 yards, averaging an eye-popping 24.4 yards per catch, and five touchdowns.
He should have a bigger role in the offense during his sophomore season, though Lutheran North will have a new quarterback after graduating a three-year starter.
3. [player_tooltip player_id="179185" first="Corey" last="Simms"], CBC
Simms, a 6-2, 175-pounder, doesn't have as much varsity experience as the players ranked above him here but he could be a breakout performer as a sophomore – much like [player_tooltip player_id="126237" first="Jeremiah" last="McClellan"] was for CBC this fall.
Simms caught five passes for 32 yards on the varsity level, but also gained experience playing special teams.
Simms' father was a standout basketball player at Normandy High School in the St. Louis area and earned a scholarship to the University of Nebraska. He was a 6-5, 205-pound guard known for his strength and athleticism. If the younger Simms, who also plays basketball, is still growing, he could be one of the bigger wideouts around or could even grow into a pass-catching tight end.
4. [player_tooltip player_id="285181" first="Larry" last="Robinson"], Kirkwood
Robinson, another bigger wide receiver, is a three-sport athlete (football, basketball and track) who already stands 6-3 and 165 pounds.
He recorded just one catch for four yards on the varsity level as a freshman, but will be a player to watch going forward. His high school head coach is Jeremy Maclin, who had a great career as a wide receiver at the University of Missouri and in the NFL.
5. [player_tooltip player_id="284623" first="Pierce" last="Behrndt"], Holt
Behrndt, a 6-3, 180-pounder, is a player with good size and athleticism that we have heard good things about and we can't wait to see more of at the varsity level with Holt's high-flying offensive system.
He has a twin brother, [player_tooltip player_id="284624" first="Mason" last="Behrndt"], who we have on our Watch List as an athlete and plays quarterback and defensive back.
The Behrndt brothers could be among the key components as Holt rebuilds following it's senior-fueled run to the Missouri Class 5 championship game last season.
