We unveiled our updated Class of 2024 rankings recently, which includes 100 ranked prospects and more than 185 total prospects including the Watch List.

There are 14 athletes in the Top 100 and 20 athletes overall for the Class of 2024 in Missouri in the Prep Redzone database, which continues to grow every day.
Today we are taking a closer look at the top prospects at the position. (Click on the player names to check out their prospect pages on PRZ, including links to their HUDL highlights.)
<strong>1. [player_tooltip player_id="130203" first="Aneyas" last="Williams"], Hannibal</strong>
A 5-foot-10, 195-pounder, Williams is a dynamic running back, wide receiver and defensive back who is ranked as the No. 6 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2024 and has put up remarkable numbers during his first two high school seasons.
After racking up 1,377 total yards and 24 touchdowns and earning second-team all-state honors as a freshman, Williams blew up as a sophomore. He caught 63 passes for 1,297 yards and 24 touchdowns and ran 105 times for 1,001 yards and 20 touchdowns. Adding in his punt and kick return numbers and Williams tallied 2,756 all-purpose yards and 47 touchdowns. He added 73 tackles and three interceptions on defense and also averaged 43 yards per punt attempt.
Hannibal advanced to the Missouri Class 4 championship game, losing to Smithville, and Williams earned first-team all-state honors along.
Williams received an early offer from the old coaching staff at Oregon and has picked up more recent offers from Nevada and Western Illinois.
<strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id="203583" first="John" last="Price"], Lincoln College Prep</strong>
Price, a 6-1, 195-pounder, excelled as a running back and a linebacker during his sophomore season. He is the No. 14 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2024.
Price, who also plays basketball, could have been ranked as a running back or a linebacker as he was an impact player on both sides of the ball this past season. He ran for 1,098 yards and 17 touchdowns and added 54 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, four pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and an interception.
<strong>3. [player_tooltip player_id="126227" first="Ezra" last="Peterson"], North Kansas City</strong>
Peterson, a strong 6-1, 225-pounder, is the No. 18 overall prospect in Missouri in the sophomore class and could emerge as a linebacker or running back at the next level.
Peterson had 420 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns during sophomore season at Staley, but <span style="font-size: 1rem;">has since transferred to North Kansas City.</span>
Peterson will be a player to watch on the camp and combine circuit this offseason as he has put up some big-time testing numbers in the past.
<strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id="185389" first="Marcus" last="Neal"], Raytown South</strong>
A 6-1, 180-pounder, Neal is the No. 29 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2024 and had an impressive sophomore season while playing wide receiver, cornerback and safety.
Neal recorded 26 receptions for 363 yards and added 40 tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception.
<strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id="203617" first="Ethan" last="Venable"], Oakville</strong>
A 6-2, 220-pounder, the versatile Venable is the No. 35 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 and a multi-sport athlete who also wrestles and plays lacrosse and rugby.
It's possible Venable could end up playing running back, fullback, defensive end or linebacker in college – or one of his other sports. His successful sophomore campaign included a team-high 847 total yards (766 rushing, 81 receiving), five touchdowns and 25 tackles and one sack.
