Highlighting PSAC Recruiting Classes: 2022 Bloomsburg University

As of writing, the Huskies of Bloomsburg University have brought in 23 new recruits that will now stand as the BU 2022 recruiting class. It’s a stout one too, including seven total ranked seniors and K.J. Riley, a mid-year transfer formally out of Danville HS. Good on Coach Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, Coach Sheptock and the rest of the recruiting staff at BU for hitting many different regions of Pennsylvania and leaving no stone unturned. I love what they accomplished in the Philadelphia Catholic League bringing in Mike Conway Mike Conway 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Father Judge | 2022 State PA , Liam Soto Liam Soto 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Archbishop Ryan | 2022 State PA , and Dan Daly Dan Daly 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL St. Joseph's Prep | 2022 State PA , all of which are straight dogs. Happy to see that group play together in the future.

Was always such an underrated prospect for the year and some change we’ve watched him. Glad to see his work on the field and the mat didn’t go unnoticed for too long. Incredible grip and strong hands/limbs which will suit him well at the next level. Every bit of 250 pounds. Has some twitch in his lower body. Punishing player.

2023 Comparison: Joseph Enick | 6’3, 280 | Penn-Trafford

Similar build albeit a bit beefier. Makes sense since he is a big-time contributor along the state-champion offensive line. He’s got the same heavy hands and punishability of Charles Crews Charles Crews 6'2" | 260 lbs | DL Williamsport | 2022 State PA , I think he’s got a D2 floor as well.

Jacob Simoson Jacob Simoson 6'7" | 320 lbs | DL Lake Lehman | 2022 State PA | 6’6, 280 | OL | Lake Lehman

Lake Lehman’s 1st-team All-Conference defensive lineman was scooped up by BU. They are getting a mammoth of a young man who is listed by us weighing 280, but is self-listed at 295 pounds now. Scary to see an almost 300-pound OL/DL move the way he does. Incredible work ethic from what I hear.

Similar to Simoson, Hale is yet another mammoth of a young man who I can see contribute on both offensive and defensive lines at the collegiate level. He’s edging out Simoson with his size, but Simoson is a tad bit smoother out of his stance.

Liam Soto Liam Soto 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Archbishop Ryan | 2022 State PA | 6’2, 290 | OL | Archbishop Ryan

Mike Conway Mike Conway 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Father Judge | 2022 State PA | 6’1, 225 | LB | Father Judge

I have covered both of these young men for some time and am elated to see all of their hard work come to fruition. Here are two players who will step onto the field with attitude and grit as well as leadership qualities. I hope to see these young men succeed at BU for the next chapter of their football careers. Liam Soto Liam Soto 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Archbishop Ryan | 2022 State PA is explosive out of his stance, has a quick punch, and is athletic enough to run out in front of the ball-carrier and lead block downfield. Soto waited for his time. As did Mike Conway Mike Conway 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Father Judge | 2022 State PA , who continued to produce at Father Judge week-in and week-out. Conway was one of the more consistent PCL linebackers who shows he can track the ball-carrier through trash and traffic. Awesome lateral agility while keeping his eyes in the backfield. Big fan of both of these kids.

Luke Williams Luke Williams 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Eastern Lebanon County | 2022 State PA | 6’2, 210 | LB | ELCO

Such a productive career at Eastern Lebanon County. Wish I got to see this young man live. Runs with such authoirty. Will excel at LB or RB. Career stats are awesome. 3100+ rushing yards, 350+ receiving yards on offense. 410 tackles, 6 sacks, 4 interceptions. Awesome production.

Much like Williams, you’re going to get LB and RB production when plugging in the tape. I think he projects to a similar skill-level, while also matching Williams in ways including size and style.

Dan Daly Dan Daly 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL St. Joseph's Prep | 2022 State PA | 6’1, 220 | DL | Saint Joseph’s Prep

Dan Daly Dan Daly 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL St. Joseph's Prep | 2022 State PA is a football player you want in your locker room. Whether it be from a leadership standpoint or from a versatility perspective. Primarily a defensive end / defensive tackle for Saint Joseph’s Prep, I can see a future at LB for the 2x State Champion. He gets the job done and does whatever is asked of him.

Again, can see a future at linebacker at the next level. The competition isn’t as great as the PCL but still think highly of the kid. Similar build but more importantly, similar versatility. DL/LB/TE, I can see him producing at any of these positions so long as he continues to develop.

Here was a late snag by the staff at BU. Was actually a little concerned that the dual-threat would prolong his decision despite having some solid offers. The Huskies have some serious talent at the QB position and are now bringing in KJ Riley and Jazce Carabello-Snowell Jazce Carabello-Snowell 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Pottsville Area | 2022 State PA , one of the more underrated QB’s in PA while also being a successful basketball player. Terrific build.
