Giant Skillz National Showcase Top Offensive Performers (GA, WA)
In this article:
The Giant Skillz National Showcase camp was held in San Juan Capistrano over the weekend and some of the top linemen in the nation were on hand.
Some of the top performers from the two day event were from the states of Georgia and Washington. Here were some of the performers that caught the eye of me and other scouts on hand:
Isendre Ahfua Isendre Ahfua 6'5" | 330 lbs | OL ODea | 2024 State WA , O’Dea, Wash.
Ahfua has incredible athleticism for his size and his footwork is outstanding. He has a nice wide base in pass protection and keeps his chest out and back flat. Ahfua has a strong initial pop that can knock defenders off-balanced. He was one of the best interior offensive linemen of the day and projects as a guard at the next level. Ahfua has offers from Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M and USC among others.

Johnathan Hughley Johnathan Hughley 6'7" | 271 lbs | DL Langston Hughes | 2023 GA , Langston Hughes, Georgia
Hughley was one of the most physically imposing players at the event and was the first person I noticed when I walked on the field Saturday. He is 6-foot-7, 285 pounds which he carries well and showed plus strength. He wasn’t the best tackle during the one-on-one portion of the event but he showed he had the tools to build on. His length, strength and balance are already good and with some polishing, he could be one of the best tackle prospects in the nation. Hughley is verbally committed to Georgia.
A member of our 2023 all American team is Bo Hughley 6‘7“ 290 tackle from Langston Hughes HS, GA. Another very impressive young man with great work habits, length, long arms and quick feet to go with exceptional body control. Dynamic performer. 3.7 GPA.@BoHughley Big time pic.twitter.com/PCSUic1EF2

Landen Hatchett Landen Hatchett 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Ferndale | 2023 State WA , Ferndale, Wash
Hatchett was the second best center I saw at the event and has more length than most center prospects. His footwork and balance stood out during the one-on-one portion of the event and his hips are nearly always square. His brother Geirean plays at Washington and Landen already has a good amount of offers. Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Washington and others have offered him.

Micah Banuelos Micah Banuelos 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Kennedy Catholic | 2023 State WA , Kennedy Catholic, Wash.
Banuelos was one of the more physically dominant tackles of the event. His footwork sometimes is inconsistent, but he has the basics down. He played left tackle at Kennedy Catholic but was playing a lot of right tackle during the event which likely explains the footwork adjustment. His real strength is his initial pop and is strength which overpowers most defensive ends. He does a good job adjusting to inside pass rushing moves and uses his strength to put defenders on the ground. He has eight offers with Washington leading the pack.
Enjoyed my time @giant_skillz, thank you for giving me an opportunity to get better. @BrandonHuffman @GregBiggins @TFordFSP @RealMG96 pic.twitter.com/3R0Oq5x5QU
