Mack Howard Mack Howard 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Oxford | 2023 State MS | 6’3″ QB | Heritage Academy
Howard 6’3″ tall and 186 lbs; Howard is the reigning 2021 MAIS 5A player of the year. In 2021, Howard proved he could do a little bit of everything which led to a spectacular season. He threw for 3,475 yards while accounting for 47 Touchdown passes with only 3 interceptions. Howard is the definition of a Field General in all phases of the game. He is not afraid to lower his shoulder and deliver a hit to get the extra yard needed for the first down. Howard is set to have a big Senior season and be the headliner of the 2023 QB class.
Ian Randolph | 6’0″ QB | Presbyterian Christian
Randolph 6’0″ tall and 175 lbs; Randolph helped lead the Bobcats in 2021 to a record of 7-5 with a first-round playoff loss to JA. He is at his best throwing the ball on the move and has some of the best footwork for a QB in the state of Mississippi. Randolph’s footwork is not the only thing he brings to the table, his eye discipline also makes him a significant threat when throwing the football. With his eyes, he can make a safety sit in a spot too long, allowing Randolph to throw into tight coverage. Look for Randolph to have a break-out year in 2022.
Paxton Thompson | 6’0″ QB | Jackson Prep
Thompson 6’0″ tall and 183 lbs; Thompson and Jackson Prep finished the 2021 campaign with a record of 8-5. Thompson finished the 2021 season throwing for 2,249 yards with 20 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. His pocket presence and mobility make him the gamer he is on Friday nights. When he has time to set his feet and throw deep, he can put the ball wherever he wants. 2022 will be a season of change with a new head coach coming on board. Look for Thompson to adapt and help lead his team back to another playoff appearance.
Clayton White | 6’0″ QB | Jackson Academy
White 6’0″ tall and 170 lbs; Tate Collins led the Raiders offense in 2021, with White filling in as backup. White will have his opportunity to lead the Jackson Academy offense in 2022. He is able to see the field and knows when to take what the defense is giving him and when it’s time to make something happen. White’s ability to stretch the field with a deep ball is game-changing. White makes smart decisions when he has the ball in his hands and he has the athletic ability to take the Raiders on a deep playoff run in 2022.
John White | 6’1″ QB | MRA
White 6’1″ and 183 lbs; In 2022, White will be entering his Junior season. In 2021 as a Sophomore, he led MRA to their third straight MAIS Football State Championship. The Patriots began the 2021 campaign with a 1-3 record before finding a way to run off 10 consecutive wins to finish the season 11-3. In 2021, White threw for 3,935 yards with 39 touchdowns and 14 Interceptions. One of the things that White does best is waiting for the receiver to do their job and get open, proving he is patient with the ball. Watching White throw the ball is like watching a leisurely game of pitch and catch. Look for White to pick up where he left off in 2021 lighting up the scoreboard.
