Here, we provide a breakdown of each player that sent in their film this month. We take a look at everything from athletic skill position players to hard-hitting safeties. There is also a rising freshman to keep an eye on in years to come.
This will be the first part of a multiple-part series.
Jordan Lovett | RB/ATH | 6’0 180 | Statesboro | 2023
Lovett is a speed demon who could project at multiple positions at the next level. Claims a 4.44 40-time, and it certainly looks like it on film. Has the explosiveness and speed to create space between him and defenders, and can change direction with the best of them. At RB, where he gets most of his reps, he has great vision and fights through contact for extra yards. He is also an effective pass-catcher out of the backfield, so much so that he will even spend time lined up at WR. Is not scared of contact, regardless of if the ball is in his hands or not. Shows the ability to be a good lead blocker downfield, especially out of the backfield. His speed and versatility make him someone worth watching.
Jaiden Coleman Jaiden Coleman 5'9" | 190 lbs | LB Perry Middle School | 2026 GA | LB | 5’9 186 | Perry | 2026
Coleman is a rising freshman, so he still has plenty of time to fully maximize his potential. Still, he was very impressive on film and it is clear that he has a lot of potential. For starters, he certainly looks the part. Is built extremely well for his age and has super long arms. Those long arms allow him to get off blocks, be disruptive in pass coverage, and catch faster players out of the backfield. Can pursue the QB from the ILB or OLB spot, and is rarely in the wrong spot on defense. Drops back in coverage and reads the QBs eyes like a safety. While he is young, Coleman is still a prospect that impresses when you turn on the film.
Ali Abdul-Hakeem | S/LB | 6’0 205 | Riverdale | 2023
On film, Abdul-Hakeem plays a lot of positions, and he plays them well. Lined up anywhere from OLB to S to CB, and did his job at all spots. Is a violent player who plays like a heat-seeking missile. Once he is locked in on his target, there is nothing the offense can do about it. Plays a downfield and physical brand of football, and you will not see as many players play it as hard as he does. His short bursts of explosion are really fun to watch on film, and there have to be some schools out there that feel the same. Has a thick and muscular build, almost like a running back, and it allows him to deliver a punch on opponents. It will be fun to see where Abdul-Hakeem goes from here, as his film was really fun to watch.
Luke Eichner | C/G | 6’0 258 | Hiram | 2023
Eichner might not tower over anyone and possess the ideal size for an offensive lineman, but there is still plenty to like on film. He is a violent blocker with athleticism. Can run downfield and act as a blocker, or play on special teams, which is rare. He has great upper body strength, and shows it off by tossing around smaller defenders like a ragdoll. His violence and athleticism make him efficient in the run blocking game, but he looks better than most IOL when it comes to pass blocking. Truly a player that can slide around the offensive front and play at multiple different positions.
Javian Simpson | DL | 5’8 245 | LaGrange | 2023
Simpson does not possess the ideal size for a defensive lineman, but he does a good job of not letting that define his game. Instead, he lets his effort and motor define his game. What he lacks in measurables, he makes up for in his motor and hustle. While he is on the shorter side, he is built extremely well and low to the ground. This allows him to generate power from his lower body. Excited to see how Simpson performs his senior season.
