In this part, we have a mix of some big-time linemen and versatile skill position players.
Amir Dwight Amir Dwight 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Crisp County | 2023 State GA | DT | 6’1 257 | Crisp County | 2023
Dwight has a few FBS offers to his name, and it is evident why. I was able to watch him in person last month, and he is one of the most explosive players I have seen with my own eyes. That explosiveness can be seen on film as well. He explodes off the snap and instantly creates penetration. This allows him to be a more than adequate pass rusher. What is most impressive about Dwight is that he doesn’t just use his brute strength to create pressure. Instead, he uses his hands to keep offensive linemen off him and attack. On top of all of those things, he reads plays very well, and is a form tackler. All in all, he is an athletic freak who also plays within himself, and it has proven well for him so far.
Darrell Bland Jr Darrell Bland Jr 5'7" | 160 lbs | WR Putnam County | 2023 GA | ATH | 5’7 143 | Putnam County | 2023
Bland is another prospect I got to see last month, and again, was very impressive. Bland is just one of those players that is naturally gifted. He has elite speed, and is a touchdown threat every time he touches the ball, he recorded a TD year on offense, defense, and as a returner. Offensively, he is an extremely twitchy route runner which allows him to create separation. Once he gets the ball in space, he shoots out of a cannon and there are hardly any players at the high school level that can keep him in front of them. On defense, he is a corner who can turn and run with anyone, but also comes downhill and lays some big hits on ball carriers. Bland is a playmaker regardless of where you put him and is one of the more underrated players in the 2023 class.
Gabe Chigwere | OG | 6’3 245 | Cambridge | 2024
This is not the first time I have seen Chigwere’s film. In fact, I saw it a few months back, and was very impressed. After a second look, nothing changed. I am a HUGE fan of Chigwere’s game and think he has some serious PO5 level potential. For starters, he already has a great frame for his age. Once he fills out, he will just be even more dominant. He is an unbelievable athlete up front who can run with position players. He packs a punch and drives his defenders out of the play, both in the pass and run blocking game. His speed and athleticism paired with his length make it almost impossible for rushers to get past him. Right now he spends most of his time at guard, but I would not be shocked to see him flex out and play tackle at some point. When you add together his length, speed, and footwork, it makes sense.
Anthony Caraballo | C/OG | 6’1 275 | Creekview | 2023
Caraballo certainly passes the eye test. He is built well, and also carries that frame well on film. He definitely fits the mold of an interior offensive lineman and spends most of his time transitioning between guard and center. The best way to describe how he plays is aggressive. He is an impact-style blocker who is not afraid of contact and plays through the whistle. Is not the quickest player, but he has enough speed to peel off and become a lead blocker if needed. What he lacks in speed and athleticism, he makes up for in his hustle. Having someone like Caraballo in the middle of your offense is something that every team wishes they could have.
