This past weekend Arkansas Sport Combine held its first Pro Day event. Often overlooked when it comes to recruiting on the national stage, Arkansas Sport Combine aims to "discover and provide exposure for the next generation of great athletes, by providing high value training and experience" at its events. All of the combine drills were timed and measured using Zybek Sports, to ensure verified times.

The future Marked Tree Indian prospect recorded the top result in four out of the five combine drills, including the 40 yard dash, agility, vertical and broad. To boot, the one drill he didn’t finish atop the leader board, the L-Drill, he finished second. Hodges was clearly the most complete prospect in attendance, as he also has promising size for an eighth grade running back at nearly 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds.

Size isn’t everything, especially at the middle school level, but these are the measurable’s that a lot of next level coaches put emphasis on during the recruiting process.
