5 2024 Virginia Quarterbacks to Watch

As we celebrate Signing Day, we recognize the accomplishments of past players and welcome the change of the new guard. Here are a list of 5 Quarterbacks who you should keep an eye on for this year. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-24527" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/06/Generic-Featured-Image-2-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" /> &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="157098" first="Jordan" last="Dennis"] South County High School 5’9’’ 165 lbs Dennis is an electrifying play maker with the ball in his hands. The sophomore Quarterback led his team to it’s 3rd straight Region 6C Championship this past season. He moves around in the pocket very well and has the ability to make plays with his legs, but make no mistake he has a powerful arm that overwhelms opposing defenses. He completed 63 percent of his passes this past season, and threw for 3,016 yards, 37 Touchdowns, 9 Interceptions, &amp; finished with a 116 passer rating. &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="157090" first="Ethan" last="Minter"] Thomas Dale High School 6’1’’ 190 lbs Minter is already an impact player early in his high school career. He has a strong arm, intelligence, accuracy, and great athleticism. He earned 6A 2nd Team All Region honors by completing 90 passes on 138 attempts (65 percent) ,threw for 1,115 yards, 9 touchdowns, 3  interceptions, and had a 100.3 passer rating. Minter also annihilated defenses with his rushing ability by running for 800 yards on just 74 (10.8 yards per carr) and  12 tds.  The young Quarterback has the talent to play at the FBS level, and also academics to play in the Ivy League with a 4.6 GPA. &nbsp; Caleb Alexander Brentsville District High School 5’11’’ 165 lbs Caleb Alexander exploded on the scene this season and earned First Team All Region honors &amp; Northwestern All District honors as an All Purpose Player. The Brentsville sophomore was a big part in his team winning the school’s first ever Region 3B Championship and making it to the Class 3 State Semifinals. Alexander contributed with 1,300 yards in the air, and 586 yards on the ground rushing. His desire to excel transcends from the field to the classroom,  as he sports a 4.0 gpa. &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="157082" first="Tyler" last="Allison"] Indian River High School 6’2’’ 170 lbs Allison is the prototypical Quarterback and has been on the radar of Division 1 college coaches since early in his freshmen year. He received his first offer at the end of his 9th grade year from the University of Maryland and since then he has earned additional scholarship offers from Campbell University and Liberty University. Allison will continue to grow and will create problems for his opponents the next two seasons. The young signal caller led his team to the Region 5A Semifinals. &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="150213" first="Matthew" last="Jenks"] Westfield High School 5’11’’ 180 lbs Jenks is one of the top gunslingers in the state of Virginia. The sophomore quarterback has a very strong arm and throws an extremely accurate deep ball. His ability to dissect defenses with surgical precision will continue to make Westfield a team that is hard to defend for the next couple of years. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
