Continue ReadingThe 2025 class in the state of Arkansas is a class that is starting to attract plenty of attention along the camp circuit and in recruiting circles. The defensive back unit for the class of 2025 is starting to take shape as one of the most talented classes over the past few years. We are going to look at some defensive backs in the 2025 class that are expected to do big things in the 2022 football season.
Keytrone Green Keytrone Green 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB North Little Rock | 2025 State AR -North Little Rock-5’11” 160-Pounds
North Little Rock is a football team that is loaded with talent over the next few years. Green does a great job of putting himself in the passing lane and either picking off the pass or batting the ball away. Green is disruptive prospect in the secondary that is always around the ball carrier. The Charging Wildcats are a team that has talented players in the secondary and will be a team that causes opposing offenses plenty of problems in 2022. Green is a player that has a high ceiling and plenty of potential. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next few seasons.
Michael Hayes Michael Hayes 5'10" | 155 lbs | DB Joe T. Robinson | 2025 State AR -Joe T. Robinson-5’9” 140-Pounds
The Joe T. Robinson defensive back is a prospect that has impressive speed and can make plays on both sides of the ball. Hayes has a nose for the football and is always around the ball carrier. He is not caught out of position and his speed can make up for being caught off guard. Hayes does not mind filling the rushing lanes and pursuing the ball carrier to make the tackle. He is going to be a prospect to watch out for this offseason and during the 2022 football season.
Omarion Robinson Omarion Robinson 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR -Little Rock Parkview-6’0” 175-Pounds
Little Rock Parkview does an excellent job of churning out prospects that can light up the secondary. Omarion Robinson Omarion Robinson 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR is another Parkview safety that is going to make plenty of noise over the next few years. He has good hands and can pick off passes that you wouldn’t think he would be able to make a play on. Robinson has good speed, and he does not quit on a play. He is one of those players that is going to continue to make noise in recruiting circles. Robinson has a high ceiling and I look forward to seeing what else he can do in 2022.
Isaiah Taylor-Fayetteville-5’11” 160-Pounds
Taylor is a prospect that is going to start attracting some attention over the next few months. He is a versatile player that can play multiple positions for the Bulldogs. Taylor does a great job of disrupting the passing game and making plays on the ball. Taylor is not afraid of making a hard hit and separating the ball from the ball carrier. He is going to be a prospect to watch over the next few seasons. Taylor has plenty of potential and I look forward to seeing what he can do in 2022.
Marcus Wimberly Marcus Wimberly 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Bauxite | 2025 State AR -Bauxite-6’1” 170-Pounds
Wimberly can play anywhere on the football field for Bauxite. He is a prospect that is versatile enough to play on both sides of the ball and excel in the process. Wimberly is an intriguing prospect in the secondary and can light up opposing wide receivers. He can play the safety or the cornerback positions on the defensive side of the ball and is someone the Miners can rely on in the secondary. Wimberly is a prospect that I want to see more of during the 2022 season he has the potential to explode from a recruiting perspective.
