Here are some South Georgia players who found the endzone the most from the 2024 class last fall….
Ny Carr – Colquit County
One of the top young receivers in South Georgia, the Packer sophomore showed big-play ability last season for one of the state’s top programs, proving that he can really take off for big yards after the catch. He’s a smooth route-runner for his age and can smell the end-zone the second he touches the ball. He can really separate from defenders once he gets some space and can turn on the jets down the field. In one of the toughest regions across the state, Carr proved to be one of the biggest playmakers, catching an impressive 40 passes for 856 yards and 14 total touchdowns on the season. Look for some D1 interest to come his way sooner than later.
Another tough, physical small-town back, Dotson is thick, powerful, and knows how to break tackles. He ran like a man amongst boys last fall, getting tough yards and having the ability to rip off big runs. He keeps his legs turning and knows how to bounce off tackles with his lower body. He runs hard behind his pads and can be tough to bring down by the average defender in his region. He was extremely productive as a sophomore last fall, rushing for over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
Kam Davis – Dougherty
The two-sport star from Albany has five-star potential both on the gridiron and on the baseball diamond due his natural athleticism. As a sophomore last fall, Davis rushed for 1,363 yards and 16 touchdowns, proving he was one of the top athletes in all of South Georgia. He lined up at quarterback as a freshman but he’ll likely play running back in college a few years down the road. He loves contact, he’s already as strong as the upperclassmen he plays against, and has good speed for his size. He’s incredibly coordinated and has a very bright future on the football field. He’s an absolute touchdown machine and already holds offers from some of the top college programs in America.
Jalewis Solomon- Schley County
A dynamic two-way athlete, Solomon is a South Georgia playmaker who amassed 989 receiving yards last year, making him the 2nd leader in total receiving yards in his class. The small-town player is a big-play waiting to happen at receiver with his 61 catches and 13 touchdowns. He’s incredible quick, agile, and changes directions with ease. Defensively, the 6-foot-1 180-pounder has been a lockdown defensive tack, making 20 total tackles and picking off four passes so far this season. He shows great instincts, and when the ball is in the air, he’s coming down with it. He’s recently earned offers from South Carolina, Georgia and LSU, among others. There weren’t many in the 2024 class who found the end-zone as many times as Solomon did last fall.
