Every year, the DMV area consistently produces some of the top offensive linemen in the nation. This article highlights five offensive linemen with D1 futures who’re all primed for huge seasons in 2022. Let’s take a closer look below. 2023 6’4 290 OL – [player_tooltip player_id="90645" first="Antonio" last="Tripp"] – McDonogh For the class of 2023, [player_tooltip player_id="90645" first="Antonio" last="Tripp"] Jr is the #1 ranked offensive linemen in Maryland. He already has offers from power five conference programs like Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, South Carolina, and Pitt, to name a few. When you watch Tripp play you almost feel bad for the players that he is blocking because they simply do not stand a chance against him. [player_tooltip player_id="90645" first="Antonio" last="Tripp"]’s game is absolutely next level, and he is going to be a game changer for the offensive line of whichever program he joins. McDonogh is a legitimate threat to win the MIAA in 2022 with [player_tooltip player_id="90645" first="Antonio" last="Tripp"] leading their offensive line, and scouts nationwide must know his name. https://t.co/ZQGEqYonO2 2023 6’4 285 OL – [player_tooltip player_id="90644" first="Tamarus" last="Walker"] – McDonogh [player_tooltip player_id="90644" first="Tamarus" last="Walker"] is without a doubt one of the best offensive linemen in Maryland, and he lines up beside the #1 ranked offensive linemen on this website. It’s safe to say that McDonogh will have a top five offensive line in the nation in 2022. The most impressive characteristic Walker possesses is his speed. For his size, [player_tooltip player_id="90644" first="Tamarus" last="Walker"] is blazing fast, and it allows him to be a far more efficient blocker than other offensive linemen his size. From run blocking to pass blocking, Walker does it all, and he even can be seen downfield making blocks to extend plays. There’s no question that McDonogh will be a force to be reckoned with next season, and their success will most certainly start with their dominant offensive line. [player_tooltip player_id="90644" first="Tamarus" last="Walker"] is an elite D1 prospect who already has offers from elite programs like Maryland, Wake Forest, and Marshall. https://t.co/5Rnkm7IVaM 2023 6’6 290 OL – [player_tooltip player_id="90650" first="Michael" last="Crounse"] – DeMatha If DeMatha’s offensive line performs at a high level in 2022 then they’re going to be a very elite football team nationwide. [player_tooltip player_id="90650" first="Michael" last="Crounse"] is absolutely the most talented offensive lineman on the Stags’ roster coming into the season, and if he can set the status quo early, which he is easily capable of, then DeMatha could be looking at an undefeated season. Crounse will inherit a bunch of leadership responsibilities next season which will only make this football team more of a unit. From offense to defense, everyone listens to [player_tooltip player_id="90650" first="Michael" last="Crounse"] on the field and on the sidelines. He already has offers from UCONN, Maryland, and West Virginia, and he should be considered top three offensive lineman for his class in Maryland. https://t.co/Wh6GTpogGm 2023 6’6 280 OL – [player_tooltip player_id="146628" first="Evan" last="Link"] – Gonzaga Gonzaga’s top offensive lineman coming into the 2022 season is absolutely [player_tooltip player_id="146628" first="Evan" last="Link"]. He already has power five conference offers from programs like Michigan, Duke, and South Carolina, and there’s simply no denying that he possesses an extremely high ceiling. Gonzaga had a few issues with their offensive line in 2021, but, with [player_tooltip player_id="146628" first="Evan" last="Link"] leading the charge, I predict that the Purple Eagles’ offensive line will be much more efficient in 2022. Gonzaga is looking to bounce back in a big way next season, and there’s no question that [player_tooltip player_id="146628" first="Evan" last="Link"] will be an integral part of that turnaround. He is definitely an elite D1 prospect. https://t.co/AQ7cAIxpPI 2023 6’6 290 OL – [player_tooltip player_id="146630" first="Kahari" last="Finley"] – St. Frances Academy [player_tooltip player_id="146630" first="Kahari" last="Finley"] was extremely productive on the o-line last season during St. Frances’ dominant season, and he will take on an even bigger role for the team in 2022. From elite opposing programs like IMG Academy and Good Counsel, Finley blocked some of the most elite defensive linemen in the nation last season, and he did so very effectively. He proved that he can play with the best of the best and dominate, and because of that his ceiling has grown immensely this offseason. [player_tooltip player_id="146630" first="Kahari" last="Finley"] already has offers from schools like Maryland, UCONN, Liberty, and Boston College. He is absolutely one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the area, and scouts should be looking at him with complete seriousness. https://t.co/6pfEC4AWe9
