Kellen Steuben-Allen Kellen Steuben-Allen 6'2" | 270 lbs | OL Bellevue West | 2023 State NE -Allen (OL) | Bellevue West | 6’2″ 250 lbs
Overall: 21 | OL: 4
Kellen played a pivotal piece in the super-tough Thunderbird offensive line. He played left guard but also bumped out to play left tackle on occasion, and personally, I think he could flourish in either position. Steuben is quick off the snap and shows his short-area quickness on pulling plays where he is like a freight train when he gets a full head of steam. Kellen is big and very physical, especially at the point of attack, where he uses his strength to blow up defenders. He uses his momentum to deliver punishing blocks and opened up huge running lanes for Wyoming commit LJ Richardson LJ Richardson 6'1" | 215 lbs | RB Bellevue West | 2022 State NE who rushed for 2,000+ yards. Kellen has all the physical traits to be one of the elite OL prospects in this class and he plays in a system that has produced tons of great linemen, big year coming up for this young man!
Grant Berry Grant Berry 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL Lincoln Southwest | 2023 State NE (DL) | Lincoln Southwest | 6’4″ 220 lbs
Overall: 22 | DL: 5
Grant is a player that I expect to move up the boards before the end of the year. Berry is a long, powerful defensive end that should see an increase in reps with the departure of some seniors. As a junior, he racked up 52 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, a forced fumble/recovery, and defended a pass in a very impressive showing. Berry’s quick get-off gives the opposing linemen little to no time to get set, to which Grant does a great job capitalizing on and is able to blow plays up in the backfield. When he is engaged, he uses great hand placement and strength to shed his blocks and pursue the ball-carrier. Berry plays on the leaner side for DE but has shown that he can blitz from a standing position to maximize the use of his speed and athleticism. Berry rushes with tons of energy and explosiveness that win battles on the edge and is vicious and overwhelming when attacking the interior line. His length is also a huge asset for him as he does a good job using his long arms to create separation and getting them up to bat away passes. Watch out for the Silver Hawks DE Grant Berry Grant Berry 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL Lincoln Southwest | 2023 State NE to blow up next year!
Trey Bird Trey Bird 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Bennington | 2023 State NE (QB) | Bennington | 6’1″ 160 lbs
Overall: 23 | QB: 3
Trey is a QB that needs to be getting more looks, especially after leading his team to an undefeated championship team. I had the chance to watch Bird and the Badgers on a few occasions, including the state championship, and in every game, Trey blew me away with his poise and decision-making. He had a very productive and efficient season, completing 64% of his passes for 2,181 yards, 24 passing touchdowns to only 3 interceptions, and an impressive 137.3 passer rating. He also showed that he can move the chains with his legs, rushing for 336 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns, often coming on crucial downs and clutch situations. Trey can flat-out toss the rock, he has outstanding touch on his passes and can drop the ball into the smallest of windows. He is very patient in the pocket but is also a great improviser when he is pushed out or needs to buy his receivers time. Even when forced to throw off-balanced, he was able to connect with his receivers by adjusting his arm angle and the delivery of the ball. Trey is a very talented QB with serious arm talent, an unfazed demeanor, and a state championship under his belt; it’ll be interesting to see what he does for an encore performance.
Blayke Moore (DB) | Gretna | 6’2″ 200 lbs
Overall: 24 | DB: 2
Blayke is a defensive back that turned several heads during his junior year. The Dragon’s DB was a key part of one of the stingiest secondaries in the state, holding down a versatile safety/nickel/slot role. Moore tallied 74 tackles, 5 interceptions, 2 defended passes, a pick-six, and fumble recovery for a touchdown. I got a chance to watch Blayke at the Stock Up Showcase and left very impressed with what I saw. He is very fluid with his feet and hips, able to change direction and close with impressive speed. Moore has excellent size at 6’2” and 200 pounds, he can step up and jam receivers to disrupt timing. In zone coverage, he does an excellent job disguising himself and undercutting the pass. In those situations, Blayke’s physicality and ball skills take over and resulted in five picks by Moore. Blayke is a very smart and talented DB with tons of athleticism and upside. Coaches need to jump on the Blayke Moore bandwagon before it’s too late.
Tre’Vionne Brown Tre’Vionne Brown 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Omaha North | 2023 State NE (WRDB) | Omaha North | 5’10″ 160 lbs
Overall: 25 | WR: 5
Tre is a player with tons of potential and huge upside. Brown is currently listed as WR5 but could see a move to ATH because he can deliver on both offense and defense. On offense, he and Keshaun complimented each other perfectly in the passing game and terrorized opposing secondaries. Brown hauled in 17 receptions for 399 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns. He has elite speed and can weave in and out of secondaries to hit the big play, shown by his average of 23.5 yards per catch. He is a strong hands receiver that can make catches through contact. On defense, he is a hard-hitting safety that is pretty versatile and can be moved across the secondary. Brown racked up 39 tackles, 7 defended passes, an interception, and a fumble recovery. Tre also proved to be a very dangerous return man with 301 yards on kick return while averaging 25 yards a return. Overall, Tre Brown is an elite athlete that I project is going to have a big offseason and even bigger senior year.
