The player rankings were recently updated by the staff. There were twenty-two quarterbacks included in the player rankings. I am following up with a review of the top five quarterbacks. Tad Hudson Tad Hudson 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB William A. Hough | 2023 State NC , 6’3″, 205, Hough HS (No. 1 QB, No. 13 Overall). Tad displays confidence in the pocket. He takes a two-step drop, throws accurate passes in tight spaces as well as on the long ball throws. Tad displays the ability to throw on the run with accuracy. Tad finished the season with 2,601 passing yards and 30 passing TDs while completing 56% of his passes. has several Power5 offers, and more are expected to come in for him. Connor Clark Connor Clark 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 NC , 6’6″, 220, Cardinal Gibbons HS (No. 2 QB, No. 15 Overall). Connor displayed leadership and poise as he led a high-powered offensive unit to an undefeated regular season. He is a great arm talent who can really throw the ball accurately on medium and long-range passes. Connor gained big yardage when he decided to run to avoid being sacked. led his team to the 4A State Championship while finishing the season with 2,795 passing yards and 30 passing TDs. He completed 63% of his passes. The recruitment should start during the Summer Prospect Camp season. John Mark Shaw John Mark Shaw 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB Leesville Road | 2023 State NC , 6’5″, 205, Leesville Rd. HS (No. 3 QB, No. 24 Overall). John is a great arm talent who throws accurately out of the pocket and on the run. He displayed good foot speed for his size and runs well in the open field. John remains calm under pressure in the pocket to complete the pass. John transferred to a new school and was injured during the regular season. He started four games during the state playoffs. has 3,027 passing yards and 30 passing TDs for his high school career, while completing 62% of his passes. The recruitment should start during the Summer Prospect Camp season. Cameron Enos Cameron Enos 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Parkwood | 2023 NC , 6’0″, 180, Parkwood HS (No. 4 QB, No. 34 Overall). Cameron displayed a quick release on his passes. He has good arm strength which is effective on the long throws. Cameron is active in the pocket completing the pass or running to avoid a sack. He runs with power and has good balance. finished the season with 1,369 passing yards and 16 passing TDs, while completing 63% of his passes. The recruitment should start during the Summer Prospect Camp season. Amari Odom Amari Odom 6'4" | 175 lbs | QB Panther Creek | 2023 NC , 6’4" 175, Panther Creek HS (No. 5 QB, No. 35 Overall). Amari took over as starter in the spring, putting up fairly impressive numbers in the shortened season. He put up big numbers during the Fall Season. Amari has a strong arm which he is still fine tuning. He is one of the best passers in the state. Amari is a dual threat to defenses with his arm and running ability. finished the season with 3,729 passing yards and 40 passing TDs, while completing 55% of his passes. He rushed for 335 yards and 5 rushing TDs. The recruitment should start during the Summer Prospect Camp season.
