Here are a few 2023 North Georgia defensive line prospects who saw new offers come their way…
Jamal Anderson – DE – Mill Creek
A Gwinnett County linebacker who continues to see offers come his way is the 2023 pass rusher out of Mill Creek. The junior is seeing his stock rise after a big 2021 season where he made 78 tackles, 7 TFLs, and four sacks. The 6-foot-4 190-pound outside linebacker also intercepted two passes, recovered a fumble, and forced another. He has length and the frame to continue putting on good weight and muscle. He’s athletic, he moves really well, and easily shows D1 talent. He made a big impact on a 7A defense and will hope to push Mill Creek towards a championship this fall. This week, Anderson earned an offer from Virginia Tech.

Kayden McDonald Kayden McDonald 6'0" | 290 lbs | DL North Gwinnett | 2023 State GA – DT – North Gwinnett
One of the top defensive line prospects in the state, McDonald is a a thick, powerful 6-foot-3 330-pound interior lineman with impressive quickness for his size. You don’t normally see interior defensive linemen towards the top of the sack leaders in the state, but that’s how good McDonald was this past season, playing against some of the best competition in the state. The dominant defensive tackle had a record seven sacks against South Forsyth in the playoffs, showing he can be an absolute game-changer there. He plays with leverage and it’s easy to see his strength and raw power when he’s running through opposing offensive linemen in the trenches. McDonald had 20 sacks, 2nd most in the 2023 class, and 15 more QB hurries to go along with an incredible 62 TFLs. McDonald has family ties to Arkansas, and the Razorbacks extended an offer to hm last week.

Nathan Efobi Nathan Efobi 6'4" | 285 lbs | DL South Forsyth | 2023 State GA – DT – South Forsyth
One of the top 2023 defensive tackle prospects in the state, the 6-foot-3 285-pounder was tough to handle this season for opposing offensive linemen. He was double-teamed often but has still managed to make a giant impact and lead a defense a strong South Forsyth defense all season. He’s strong at the point of attack and can closes those running lanes in a hurry. He’s big, active, and he’s only getting better. He’s using his hands better and becoming more fundamentally and technically sound the more he plays. His best football is ahead of him, and that’s a very good thing for the South Forsyth in 2022. Efobi recently earned a new offer from Vanderbilt.

AJ Hoffler AJ Hoffler 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL Woodward Academy | 2023 State GA – Woodward Academy
One of the fastest-rising EDGE prospects not only in Atlanta, but across the state, the 6-foot-5 245-pounder from Woodward Academy is in the middle of seeing his recruitment take off since as he was able to get to the QB with ease last fall. He’s a terrific pass-rusher and has proved it this year with 9 sacks. When he meets the ball-carrier, he knows how to deliver a big hit. He’s great in pursuit and finds a way to rip the ball out when he gets there. He’s a guy who demands double teams, and if he doesn’t, he’s going to make a big play. He holds impressive offers from Ohio State, Auburn, Penn State, among others and earned a new offer this week from South Carolina.
