Here are a few defensive backs in Georgia who recently earned new offers…
RJ Johnson – ELCA
Another dynamic two-way standout in the 2023 class, Hood is an impressive athlete with length at 6-foot-3 180-pounds with tremendous ball skills. He’s quick, instinctive, and does a good job of making a play on the ball. He’s a smooth runner and cuts upfield quickly with the ball in his hands. His hands and big-play ability allow him to make plays on offense, but his quickness, toughness, and receiver-like ball skills make him a great defensive back option at the next level. He’s seeing his stock take off and added recent offers from Rutgers and Kansas.

Robert Billings – Milton
One of the hardest hitting defensive backs in the 2023 class, Billings is coming off an excellent regular season for the 7A powerhouse Milton Eagles, showing he can both cover and help in the run game. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder has made 66 total tackles from his safety position and has picked off five passes as well. He also forced a fumble, caused a fumble, and blocked a punt on special teams. He’s smart, instinctive, and has made a lot of plays for one of the state’s top defenses. He’s tough, knows how to hit, and is starting to see some offers come his way. When he’s around the football, Billings finds a way to make a play. Look for him to be one of the top defenders in all of metro-Atlanta in 2022. The playmaking safety recently earned an offer from Missouri.

Daiquan White Daiquan White 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Creekside | 2023 State GA – Creekside
Down in Fairburn is where you’ll find one of the top overall cover-corners in the Atlanta area. The athletic 5-foot-10 170-pounder has a long frame to him with quickness and impressive footwork. He’s just the newest defensive back who comes out of Creekside, a program that develops defensive backs as well as any across the state. Not only does he have natural cover instincts, but he has college-level ball skills and plays physical as well. He can hold his own on the outside against the run and knows how to get off tackles. He’s a quick cover corner already, but as he continues to get bigger while developing his craft as a cornerback, he’ll see more offers come his way. He recently added a new offers from Kansas and UCONN.

Bryce Thornton Bryce Thornton 5'11" | 190 lbs | DB Milton | 2023 State GA – CB – Milton
One of the top pure athletes in the region, the standout defensive back is one of the best cornerback prospects across Georgia in the 2023 class. He’s quick, shifty, and showed great ball skills throughout the season. He’s an impact defender in the secondary, but he’s a reliable option on offense as well as a running back and receiver. He’s a sure tackle for a defender, making 93 tackles and picking off five passes in coverage. He’s a leader and multi-year starter for the Eagles with football genes. His father was a former college defensive back at Georgia, and the younger Thornton clearly has SEC talent as well. His ball skills and athleticism are easy to see, and it has earned him a new offer from Missouri.
