Jack Beard – 6’ 2″/ 240lbs – G/DT – Indianapolis Lutheran
The first thing that stands out to me on film is how Jack uses his hands. He is swift to get his hands in the middle of the chest of the offensive lineman. Not only is he quick to get his hands on each individual he encounters, but he can disengage with a blocker just as efficiently. Combining these two criteria and the extensions he creates with his arms will make him a force to be reckoned with next year.
Reese Hill – 6’3″/ 273lbs – G/DT – Greenfield-Central
Having a motor is crucial when speaking about football players. It is even more critical to have one when playing in the trenches. Reese shows he has a knack for getting to the football using his size and ability to change direction between the tackles. That is precisely what Reese brings with him every play—already being 270 pounds plus as a sophomore is a great baseline. Reese shows that he has a mean streak by finishing every play through the whistle. I see him being more of an interior offensive lineman at the next level, but he also shows excellent potential as a DT.
JJ Baxter – 5’10″/ 245lbs – G/DT – Lapel
Explosiveness is the first word when I watch JJ start a play. Even as a sophomore, he was noticeably one of the more quick-twitch players on the field. Being a little shorter, he uses his leverage to his advantage. JJ has a great block shedding ability and can push offensive linemen back to disrupt ball carrier’s paths. His ability to fire off the line creates mismatches for a slower offensive lineman, allowing him to get pressure on the quarterback.
Jayden Hazelwood – 6’3″/ 310lbs – T/DT – Evansville North
Jayden Hazelwood is big and strong. There is no mistaking his strengths when you watch him on film. Even when his pad level gets high, Jayden is not pushed back by anyone. Even being 300+ pounds, he can move laterally with excellent efficiency. His power in his upper body moves the opposing lineman into the quarterback’s face, causing disruption. Jayden has the fortitude to understand how to bend down the line to make a play that is impressive for a younger player.
Jayden Jackson Jayden Jackson 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Brownsburg | 2024 IN – 6’2″/ 300lbs – G/DT – Brownsburg
Total package is the phrase I would use to describe Jayden Jackson Jayden Jackson 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Brownsburg | 2024 IN . Strength, power, speed, and aggression describe his game. Jayden stands out in this class with his size and athletic ability. He explodes off the line and uses his strong core to toss the lineman off of him and menace the backfield. It is fun to see him get hand-offs as well. There might be a small amount of jealousy with me being a former big man myself. All in all great pad level for his height and is bound to have a breakout season, giving him many division I offers.
