Here are a few 2023 TE prospects to know in metro-Atlanta…
Lawson Luckie Lawson Luckie 6'3" | 225 lbs | TE Norcross | 2023 State GA – Norcross
Already known as one of the top tight end prospects in the South for the 2023 class, the 6-foot-3 225-pounder made his verbal commitment this week to the University of Georgia. He’s a true do-everything tight end who can make a big impact not only in the passing game, but blocking in the run game as well. He’s detail oriented, strong, physical and athletic. Last fall, Luckie caught 33 passes for 358 yards and three touchdowns. The Norcross standout is an excellent student in the classroom, but his versatility, size, and reliable hands in the passing game is what makes him one of the top TEs in metro-Atlanta. Thee future Georgia Bulldog could see some early playing time as the Bulldogs like to play with multiple tight end sets offensively.
Jackson Head Jackson Head 6'3" | 210 lbs | TE River Ridge | 2023 State GA – River Ridge
One of the more underrated players in the state, Head is a dynamic pass catcher who can line up just about anywhere on offense. At 6-foot-3 225-pounds, Head is a big target who moves really well for his size. He made big play after big play all season for River Ridge last year, catching 47 passes for 695 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was the go-to receiver last year as a junior and will cap off a massive career as a senior next fall. He’s incredibly driven and internally motivated to be his best, and you can see that through his work ethic in the weight room and in practice. As a TE/WR, he has great body control and understands how to use his size to shield off smaller defenders. He has very good hands, catching most everything in his vicinity. His versatility and ability to play multiple positions as a pass catcher make him one of the tougher guys to cover in the region.
Zeke Moore – Roswell
The 6-foot-2 235-pound Hornet is coming off a big junior season where he helped lead the Hornets do a deep run in the 7A playoffs. A reliable pass catcher in the passing game, Moore caught 23 passes as a junior for 334 yards and five touchdowns. He has soft hands in the pass game but is also big and strong enough to block on the edge in the run game. One of the better athletes on the team, Moore can play TE/DE/FB, and can help on special teams as well. Moore plays in a very talented region, and he’ll have even bigger expectations for himself this spring and moving forward. If there’s one tight end who could breakout in North Fulton next year, Moore could be the guy.
Levi Linowes – Riverwood
One of the top tight ends in Atlanta, Linowes was a big-play waiting to happen as a junior last fall, catching 36 passes for 729 yards and scoring six touchdowns. The 6-foot-3 210-pounder has plenty of size and length with the ability to pick up big yards with each reception, averaging 20.3 yards per reception last season. He’s a decent route-runner for his size and can be tough to bring down after the catch. Look for his stock to continue to rise over the next several months after a big junior season.
