Here are a few 2024 tight end prospects to know about this offseason…
Michael Smith – Calvary Day
A dynamic pass-catcher from Savannah, Smith is a big-play waiting to happen and really shined all throughout his sophomore season last fall. He has plenty of size for his age and can pick up a lot of yards in a hurry after the catch. As one of the biggest playmakers in that area of the state, Smith showed that he has D1 talent with his 42 receptions for 684 yards and nine touchdowns. He beat defenses with his speed and knows how to get tough yards down the field as well. He’s a two-way player so you know he brings some toughness to the table as well. At 6-foot-4 225-pounds, Smith looks the part of a D1 prospect and still has two years to continue perfecting his craft. He already holds early offers from Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina, among others.
Landen Thomas Landen Thomas 6'4" | 210 lbs | TE Colquitt County | 2024 State GA – Colquitt County
One of the top 2024 playmakers in South Georgia, sophomore tight end Landen Thomas Landen Thomas 6'4" | 210 lbs | TE Colquitt County | 2024 State GA is one of the top tight end prospects in the South with a great frame and athleticism. At 6-foot-4 210-pounds, Thomas is a mismatch problem for defenses. He’s a big-bodied pass catcher who is only scratching the surface of his potential. Thomas caught only 31 passes so fall, but they’ve gone for 516 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s also an impact blocker on the edge and will continue to add more weight and muscle over the next few years, helping him build more strength to go along with his ability to catch passes. Look for Thomas to be ranked as one of the top 2024 TE prospects in American down the road. He picked up offers this week from Kentucky, Coastal Carolina and Michigan State with many more still on the way.

Martavious Collins Martavious Collins 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Rome | 2024 State GA – Rome
Another great-looking prospect with a promising frame and athleticism at 6-foot-4 225-pounds, Collins already looks like a D1 player and showed off his talent as a pass catcher throughout the 2021 season. As a sophomore last year, Collins caught 21 passes for 268 yards and one touchdown. He’s a big-body who can be a mismatch against smaller defenders, and while he may not out-run anyone, he can be very tough to bring down by just one defender as he knows how to rumble down the field and keep his balance for yards after the catch. He has a long frame that allows him to be an impact blocker on the edge and a weapon in the red-zone. He holds an early offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs and saw a new offer come his way last week from Tennessee.
Blessed to receive my 6th offer from The University of Tennessee🧡 @vol_Football @coachjoshheupel @CoachGolesh @Mansell247 @CoachHazelray @Coach_Sams15 @RecruitGeorgia pic.twitter.com/nBnxQNdwoQ

Hunter Teal – Walton
A tough, gritty player who can play on both sides of the ball, Teal is an instinctive linebacker/tight end who showed this past fall that he can be a big weapon in the passing game. He can line up in the backfield as well and shows reliable hands when the ball comes his way. He can break tackles after the catch and can help block in the run game as well. He played well against some tough 7A competition as a sophomore and could easily see his stock start to rise more and more over the next several months.
