PRZ Stock-Up Showcase Top Performing LBs 

<em>Breaking down the top performers at the LB position from PRZ’s CA Stock-Up Showcase at Santa Margarita Catholic on Sunday. Centennial 2023 LB [player_tooltip player_id="270906" first="Samarai" last="Anderson"] was one of the top overall standouts with potential to be a P-5 prospect down the line. </em> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="270906" first="Samarai" last="Anderson"]- <strong>Centennial, 2023 </strong></span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Anderson was one of the top overall performers from the showcase displaying a high-level LB skillset and physicality. He’s a stout, physical LB that showed power and leverage in 1-on-1 pass rushing with RBs and ability to cover RBs out of the backfield in man routes. He was an effective 3-4 OLB in his junior season that produced turnovers in coverage and proved to be a great tackler in space. Anderson is a rising prospect that could be due for his first D-I offer in the near future with interest from several Mountain West and Pac-12 schools. He’s an active ILB with a strong frame and nose for the football. He sifts through blockers in the run game using his hands to fight off blocks and tracks ball-carriers in the backfield extremely well. He’s an excellent form tackler sideline-to-sideline and physical at the POA. He showed great closing speed and physicality in his junior season film posting over 100 tackles from his ILB spot. He plays downhill between the tackles and reacts quickly to the ball in coverage. He showed plus ball-skills and fluid hips in 1-on-1 routes with RBs. He has great short-area quickness and burst with quick feet and solid lateral movement. On tape, he plays with good pad level and moves well in space showing ability to break down and tackle aggressively. He showed good movement in testing and 1-on-1 routes with RBs. On film, he’s a heavy downhill player that fills aggressively and plays with high motor. He showed ability to cover middle zone and quick reactions to underneath routes. He’s a long, rangy athlete with great versatility and upside. He mostly played DE his senior season but given his length, size, and movement he could move into a 3-4 OLB or hybrid LB role at the next level.
