The prospect camps and prospect days are in full swing in the state of Arkansas. Offers and impressive performances were happening all weekend for a number of prospects in the Natural State. It was a busy weekend for multiple classes of prospects this weekend and we will take a look at a few prospects to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.
<strong>Quincy Rhodes Jr.-Jacksonville-Linebacker-2023</strong>
The Jacksonville linebacker has displayed a nose for the football over the past two seasons. He is all over the football field and seems to be in on every tackle. Rhodes Jr attended prospect day activities at the University of Arkansas and in the process picked up a scholarship offer to play for the Razorbacks. He is a player to keep an eye on as we approach the 2022 season. Rhodes Jr. has good speed and is never caught out of position. He has the potential to be an impressive player on Saturdays in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id="135257" first="Brady" last="Porter"] is a defensive lineman that uses his speed well to disrupt the offensive backfield. He uses his 6’3” frame well to get into the quarterback’s passing lane and bat the ball down. Porter is an intelligent player and uses his instincts well to disrupt the offensive run and passing attacks. Porter picked up a scholarship offer from McPherson College over the weekend. The school that signs Porter gets a player that will pursue the ball and make a play on the defensive side of the ball.

Over the next few years, the Pine Bluff Zebras will have an extremely talented group coming up through the ranks. Defensive end [player_tooltip player_id="153886" first="Charleston" last="Collins"] is one of those players that uses his explosiveness well to get into the opposing backfield. At the You Are Regional Camp over the weekend, Collins put on an impressive show. He defeated blockers over and over again to get into the opposing backfield. Collins is a player to watch for over the next few months, he has the potential to be a defensive lineman we see play on Saturdays in the future.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="143614" first="Carter" last="McElhany"]-Greenbrier-Wide Receiver-2023</strong>
At the Arkansas Elite scrimmage over the weekend, the Greenbrier wide receiver had the opportunity to showcase his dangerous speed. McElhany has the speed to create separation from opposing defensive backs and has the ability to leave them once he gets into the open field. He is a receiver that can work effectively in the slot or be split out wide for deep shots. With the kind of speed McElhany possess, it would be wise to get him on the field as often as you can. Keep an eye on McElhany he has the potential for a huge 2022 season.

Versatility is the name of the game when it comes to [player_tooltip player_id="75137" first="Jabrae" last="Shaw"]. Shaw can be used effectively in the rushing or passing games. He has the ability to make big plays in both the rushing and passing attacks. Shaw uses his speed well to keep opposing defensive players guessing. He is another wide receiver that can use his speed well and create the separation needed to make a big play in the passing game. Shaw picked up a scholarship offer from Central Arkansas over the weekend, and he is a player to keep an eye on over this coming season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="153818" first="Sharmon" last="Rester"]-El Dorado-Quarterback-2022</strong>
Rester had a terrific season in 2022. He helped lead the El Dorado Wildcats to a state championship and in the process threw for 3,587 yards and 41 touchdowns. Rester has an accurate arm and excellent mobility. He can extend the play and keep his eyes down the field to find his wide receivers. Rester picked up a scholarship offer from Lamar University over the weekend. Rester has somehow slipped under the radar; however, he is a quarterback with the potential to create big plays on Saturdays.
More updates will come over the next few days from the prospect camps that have taken place over the weekend. The recruiting period is starting to heat up and the state of Arkansas has plenty of talented players that should make the jump to the next level.
