Michigan has some incredible talent from all across the state. In this article, I’ll go over some great Michigan prospects that are said to have NFL potential.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Detroit MLK QB [player_tooltip player_id="30316" first="Dante" last="Moore"]</strong></span>
Moore is rated the #4 High School QB in the nation, and there are many reasons for that. He can obviously make all the throws and he obviously has incredible fundamentals with incredible size. What people don’t realize is just how hard Moore works. He’s been working out with Devin Gardner for quite some time, and Jim Harbaugh offered Moore when he was a 7th grader. Moore works relentlessly, he’s gifted, he’s a great leader, and has an incredible football mind. For me, [player_tooltip player_id="30316" first="Dante" last="Moore"] is very likely to have a successful college career and he has a great shot at the NFL.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Dexter TE [player_tooltip player_id="30328" first="Brennan" last="Parachek"]</strong></span>
Parachek is a 6’6" 230lb Tight End from Dexter who is utilized incredibly well in the offense. He’s a highly touted recruit on his way to Michigan State in the fall of 2023. Parachek only knows one speed and that is brick on the gas pedal. The pedal is always down and he’s always going all out. He’s a capable blocker and an exceptional weapon in the passing game. I mean, just imagine Michigan State’s offense with an Elite Tight End. Just think about how much better the 49ers’ offense is with Kittle, and how amazing Michigan’s offense was with Jake Butt all those years ago. Parachek, as long as he stays extremely committed and hungry with the Spartans, I believe could turn out to be an absolute gem. MSU doesn’t have the greatest Tight End room at the moment, and Parachek could get some chances early. Look out for this guy in a few years.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Cass Tech DL [player_tooltip player_id="162650" first="Jalen" last="Thompson"] </span></strong>
Thompson is an awesome DL prospect out of Cass Tech that sports elite High School size, speed, and power. Playing at Cass Tech, he’s facing some of the best programs year in and year out and dominates the competition. He’s incredibly aggressive off the snap and posted 10 sacks this season. He’s also tested well and competed very well at some elite showcases/combines. The Michigan State commit will have his chance to make a name for himself come 2023 and beyond. I expect him to get faster, stronger, become elite with reaction time off the snap, and get better at facing the best of the best linemen. With his size, talent, and current stats, [player_tooltip player_id="162650" first="Jalen" last="Thompson"] has the potential to be an NFL prospect come 2025-2027.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">River Rouge WR [player_tooltip player_id="190093" first="Nick" last="Marsh"] </span></strong>
Another player with offers from all over the nation, [player_tooltip player_id="190093" first="Nick" last="Marsh"] has been given national attention ever since his 2020 State Championship performance as a Freshman. He’s an explosive, physical receiver not unlike DK Metcalf, and already has begun to get a brand in #GETMARSHED. I am super impressed by how twitchy and physical this guy is, and really no matter where he goes, [player_tooltip player_id="190093" first="Nick" last="Marsh"] will have the opportunity to play and to dominate. I truly believe Marsh has one of the highest ceilings in Michigan right now, and that ceiling is NFL.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Harper Woods DB [player_tooltip player_id="77223" first="Jacob" last="Oden"]</span></strong>
Son of highly respected Harper Woods head coach Rod Oden, Jacob has been dominating the competition during the season, and during camps. He’s being recruited by just about everyone, and he’ll be a Will Johnson-type recruit for sure. He may be the twitchiest, quickest reacting player in the State as he’s able to counter the opposing receiver’s every move with grace and make coverage look seamless. He sports speed seen by very few high schoolers and may get the opportunity to play right away at a power-5 college program. Defensive Backs from Michigan have fared well in college and in the NFL, and I believe [player_tooltip player_id="77223" first="Jacob" last="Oden"] could be next in line.
