In the 2021 Houston high football season I’ve seen a lot of great teams, games and athletes. Out of all the games I been to this football season I’ll be naming the top athletes in each position. Based off the teams and games I’ve seen these are the top Houston area high school quarterbacks.

#3 Ridge Point Panthers Bert Emanuel Jr QB Sr 6’4 205 lbs

Bert Emanuel put on a show for his last of high football this season. Bert throws some of the most accurate passes I’ve seen this season. Whether, it was short or long Bert could always throw a perfect spiral. Bert didn’t throw one interception this year. Bert is also very mobile having over 1,000 rushing yards and scored 15 touchdown by himself. Bert is just a great athlete overall and has received attention from a lot different colleges and universities. Bert has college offers from; Texas Southern University, Army Football, Dartmouth College, The University of Colorado and Lamar University. Bert’s overall stats this season was 2,655 passing yards and threw for 31 touchdown passes.

#15 North Shore Mustangs Kaleb Bailey QB Fr

Kaleb Bailey is a phenomenal quarterback. Kaleb is only a freshman and started as quarterback halfway through the season. Kaleb wasn’t afraid to scramble and run with the ball. Kaleb had great quick decision making and a great arm at that. Kaleb starting his freshman year and leading North Shore to a championship game and winning is a very big accomplishment. Kaleb has a lot of room to grow and by the end of his high school football career Kaleb will be a top college prospect and an outstanding athlete.

#5 Atascocita Eagles Zion Brown QB So 6’0 170 lbs

Zion Brown had an outstanding season for the Atascocita Eagles quarterback. Halfway through the season quarterback Gavin Summers tore his acl and sophomore Zion had to fill his shoes. Zion is a pretty good passer, but his best feat was his speed. Every time I saw Zion play he was always running the ball himself and when he took off no one could catch him. Zion has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the state by his senior year.

#5 Spring Lions [player_tooltip player_id="251890" first="Bishop" last="Davenport"] QB Sr 6’3 190 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id="251890" first="Bishop" last="Davenport"] is a well rounded quarterback. Bishop had great awareness and would always find the best wide receiver open for passes. Bishop was also had a good amount of speed whenever he ran with the ball he would always get the 1st down and more. Bishop is also a top college prospect having numerous college and universities offers, but has decided to commit to Utah State University to continue his football career this upcoming fall. Bishop’s overall stats this season was 3,807 passing yards, 766 rushing yards, threw 41 touchdown passes, and rushed in for 7 touchdown himself.

#2 Westfield Mustangs [player_tooltip player_id="60727" first="Cardell" last="Williams"] QB Sr 6’3 175 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id="60727" first="Cardell" last="Williams"] was key to The Westfield Mustangs overwhelming offensive firepower. Cardell had a great arm and had a great offensive line for protection. Cardell had the ability to confidently stay in the pocket and make decisive plays. Cardell was always able to properly utilize his offensive weapons. Cardell is also a top college prospect having numerous college and universities offers, but has decided to commit to University of Tulsa to continue his football career this upcoming fall. Cardell’s overall stats this season was 3,105 passing yard, threw 39 touchdown passes and rushed in for 8 touchdown himself.
