Let’s take a look at the sophomore running back that helped light up the Friday nights in Malvern last season.
Dupree is one of the most intriguing prospects in the class of 2024. The Malvern running back racked up 1,609 yards on the ground and punched the ball in the end zone 16 times. Dupree tacked on 92 receiving yards and displayed that impressive speed plenty of times. Dupree’s versatility is an impressive quality that opposing teams will struggle to defend him over the next two years.
Jalen is an intelligent young man, and he already has goals that he would like to accomplish in the offseason. Dupree wants to continue to improve and get better over the offseason. He starts out with wanting to get faster and stronger this offseason. Starting off with working on the speed and getting stronger is a great way to stay hungry for the 2022 season. The work in the offseason can lead to big things during the regular season.
However, Dupree did not just stop with the offseason, he also laid out some goals for the 2022 season. After having a terrific 2021 season, where he rushed for over 1,600 yards. Dupree set the bar high for the 2022 season and his plan is to rush for over 2,000 yards on the ground and punch the ball in the end zone 25 times. Meanwhile, Dupree wants to the Leopards to win a state championship. The mindset and the work ethic are there for him to accomplish those goals.
The gameplan for Dupree during the spring and the summer is to continue to work out and improve. The bottom-line concerning Dupree is that he is a talented running back with the potential to play division one football on Saturdays in the future. Look out for Dupree and the Leopards over the next two years.
