If you weren’t paying attention to District III this season, you may not have noticed the fantastic season that Boiling Springs put together in 2021. The Bubblers put together an 11-2 overall record on the season including 5-0 in Mid-Penn league play.
The Bubblers got their season off to a strong 3-0 start in 2021 with blowout victories over Littlestown, Bermudian Springs, and James Buchanan. They’d suffer their first loss of the season against Mechanicsburg in week four by a final score of 39-34 before rattling off seven straight wins to end their regular season including a win over Steelton-Highspire in the second to last week of the regular season.
They started their playoff run with a 35-7 win over Hamburg on November 12 but would fall a week later to Wyomissing 55-14 to end their season at 11-2 overall.

Here are a few of Boiling Springs’s top players in our rankings or who managed to slip under our radar.

<h5><strong>2022 Prospects:</strong></h5>
<strong>No.397: OL [player_tooltip player_id="242594" first="Hunter" last="Coyle"]</strong>
Coyle played both ways for the Bubblers though we were unable to find any stats for Coyle on either side of the ball. That being said, Coyle is committed to Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia for his college career.
<strong>No.515: QB [player_tooltip player_id="243349" first="Colin" last="Lunde"]</strong>
In the run first Boiling Springs offense, Lunde didn’t get a great deal of opportunities to throw the ball but was solid when he did. For the season, he recorded 1,093 passing yards and 18 touchdowns while adding an additional three touchdowns on the ground.
<strong>No.520: LB [player_tooltip player_id="243358" first="Joey" last="Menke"] </strong>
Menke was tremendous offensively for Boiling Springs this season, recording 141 carries for 1,385 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also recorded 10 receptions for 265 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 83 tackles at linebacker this season while also totaling seven sacks and one interception.
<h5><strong>Unranked Prospects:</strong></h5>
<strong>FB/LB Aiden Metzger: </strong>Metzger was a strong two-way player for the Bubblers recording 735 total yards offensively and scoring 16 touchdowns while also recording eight sacks defensively. He recorded 83 tackles at linebacker this season while also totaling seven sacks and one interception.
