The top prospect in California’s 2022 class signed his letter of intent over the weekend.
Mater Dei (Santa Ana) cornerback [player_tooltip player_id="25223" first="Domani" last="Jackson"] signed with USC on Friday.
Jackson was originally committed to USC, but backed off his commitment in November after the firing of Clay Helton and the mediocre season the Trojans were having.
Early in the week, a source told me it was "neck and neck" between USC and Alabama for Jackson. He visited USC’s campus two weekends ago and had Alabama coach Nick Saban over for an in-home visit last Thursday.
Jackson is joining his Mater Dei teammate [player_tooltip player_id="25225" first="Raleek" last="Brown"] in USC’s 2022 class. More of his former teammates are already on USC’s roster like receiver Kyron Ware-Hudson.
He has elite speed and ran a 10.25 100 meters in the track season last spring. He is a physical corner who excels in man-to-man coverage. It is hard to get a good release as a receiver when Jackson is covering you. Jackson has the talent and body to start at USC immediately and be an All-Conference player.
After the singing of Jackson, USC moved up to the No. 70 ranked 2022 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports.

Servite (Anaheim) receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"] signed with Arizona on Saturday.
McMillan is the fourth player from Servite to sign with Arizona, joining his quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"], receiver [player_tooltip player_id="25242" first="Keyan" last="Burnett"] and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="143131" first="Jacob" last="Manu"].
Earlier this week McMillan was deciding between Arizona and Oregon according to multiple reports. He was previously committed to Oregon for a very long time until coach Mario Cristobal left Oregon to be the head coach at Miami.
The addition of McMillan has moved Arizona into the top 25 recruiting classes according to 247Sports and the No. 2 recruiting class in the Pac 12.
McMillan is a lengthy receiver who makes highlight reel catches frequently. He is physical which helps him win 50/50 balls against good defensive backs. There are questions about his speed but I think he is fast enough to be a multiple year starter at a Power 5 school.
I like him a lot as a safety and think he could be a safety at the college level, but he will be a receiver at Arizona and a more than capable one.

Mater Dei receiver [player_tooltip player_id="25224" first="CJ" last="Williams"] signed his letter of intent earlier this week and will reveal who he signed with at the All American game on January 8.
Williams announced that the two schools he was choosing from were UCLA and USC.
He was previously committed to Notre Dame before Brian Kelly left the school to become the head coach at LSU.
Williams plays bigger than his size and wins a lot of jump balls. He runs excellent routes and Mater Dei usually targets him on big third downs of any distance.
