Texas ICE is a premier program that focuses on development, expert position specific training and by playing a national 7v7 schedule, their athletes have the opportunity to showcase their talent around the country. Today we look at some of the 15U standouts in the class of 2025-2026.
Kane Bolt | Wide Receiver | Class of 2025 | Gunter HS
Kane stood out from the beginning of the tryouts in footwork drills, as well wide receiver drills. Bolt has great body lean off the line, superb body control, sets up DBs well, gets in out of breaks quickly and does well at getting off press coverage. At 6’2 170 Lbs., Bolt uses his long athletic frame to his advantage by walling off defenders, which allowed him to excel during the 1v1 portion of tryouts. Look for Bolt to make a splash on the Texas ICE circuit in 2022.
Jameer Muhammad | Athlete | Class of 2025 | Carter Riverside HS
Jameer was impressive from the jump. Muhammad the opportunity to take offensive reps as well as defense and stood out on both sides of the ball. But where Jameer received the most praise from ICE coaches and looked most natural was at defensive back. Muhammad is physical with wideouts and won multiple reps off of not letting his opponent get off the line of scrimmage. Jameer understands leverage, gets his hands on wideouts to redirect them, has a fluid backpedal, excellent feet, and has natural ball skills that show next level potential. Look for Muhammad to be a top lockdown cornerback in the ICE defensive backfield in 2022.
Terry Barber | Wide Receiver | Class of 2025 | Desoto HS
Barber is an elite talent. Terry moves effortlessly and is ahead of the game when it comes to manipulating defensive backs off their mark. Barber runs crisp routes, has full command of the route tree, has quick twitch movements that aid in him getting off the line, his long athletic frame keep defenders from getting hands on him in press coverage, which makes him a nightmare matchup. Terry possesses a big catch radius, which was on display during 1v1 portions of the tryout. Barber will be a focal point in the ICE offense in the spring of 2022. Look for Terry to turn heads as a future Desoto U standout.
Parker Jones | Linebacker | Class of 2025 | Holliday HS
Jones moved well laterally, has good feet, and showed good instincts in 1v1 pursuit drills. Parker uses his hands well in coverage, is strong when he engages and 7v7 will only aid in improving his skills in coverage. I went back and reviewed some tape from Jones’s freshman season at Holliday, where he is a starter at outside linebacker. Parker reads and reacts quickly to diagnose plays, takes on blocks without giving too much of his body, flows well in space, stays square to not over committ and tackles well in open space. Jones was voted 6-3A DII Newcomer of the Year registering 149 tackles, 21 TFLs which lead the team to go along with 5 sacks and three fumbles. Jones has three years left at Holliday and is a name you should get to know.
Markavious Justice | Linebacker | Class of 2024 | W.T. White HS
Justice is instinctive, strong at the point of attack, and uses his hands well to redirect opponents while locked in coverage. I had the opportunity to watch tape from his sophomore season in which he was voted 2nd team all-district. Justice sets the edge well, takes on blocks without giving up his entire body, uses great technique taking on blocks, takes proper pursuit angles, tackles well in the open field and plays with a high motor. Markavious lines up at outside linebacker for W.T. White, where he finished with 55 tackles, 4 TKLs, 14 QB pressures. a sack, 2 PBUs, a forced fumble 1 fumble recovery, 2 field goal blocks and a safety. Justice is going to make a name for himself on the 7v7 circuit, as well as continue to improve and add to his skill set.
Jaiden McLemore | Quarterback | Class of 2026 | Lake Highlands Jr. High
Jaiden has a cannon of an arm, sees the field well, displays a high football IQ and shows off maturity and poise beyond his years. McLemore has the skill set to fit the ball in small windows, has good touch on his deep ball, has a great understanding of the route tree, and superb footwork that enhances his top flight fastball when he lets it rip. During a portion of the 1v1 period, McLemore took advantage of his arm strength by throwing darts for completions with press coverage on several of his targets, drawing praise from the ICE coaching staff. Look for McLemore to turn more heads in 2022 on the Texas ICE circuit.
Heston Davis Heston Davis 5'10" | 200 lbs | LB Holliday | 2026 State TX | Linebacker | Holliday, Tx | Class of 2026
Davis moves well, is light on his feet, and has good flexibility in his hips. I had the chance to also watch Heston’s 8th grade film from the fall and Davis is impressive. He reads his keys well, which allows him to diagnose plays quickly. Davis is a downhill linebacker, which allows him to seek and destroy. Davis seems to enjoy the hunt, roams the field with good range and has good instincts rushing the passer that allow him to be disruptive. Heston will continue improve all aspects of his game in 2022 on the Texas ICE circuit.
