I left the showcase very impressed with the Titan wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="167050" first="Stephan" last="Adeyemi"]. Before the season, I thought Adeyemi had great hands and ran crisp routes, and he definitely displayed that at the Stock Up Showcase. He especially turned it up in the position drills and one-on-ones, where he was making all sorts of grabs and snatching ankles. He does an outstanding job catching with his hands and controlling his body to make the catch. Stephan can be lined up anywhere, and chances are that he will find a soft spot in the defense. Unfortunately, Adeyemi did not receive a ton of touches during the season, but if you watched him operate on the field, you could tell that his quickness and route-running gave defensive backs fits. All of this was on full display at the showcase, and he impressed many coaches.

Caden was a good surprise at Stock Up. He is only a sophomore, but he is well on his way to being the next standout Lincoln East wideout. One thing you can’t coach is size, and Cetak definitely has that at 6’3" and 200 pounds. He is strong and physical coming off the line and has some big mitts for the ball to fall into. He is a great overall athlete and will only continue to get better, learning from [player_tooltip player_id="191114" first="Cooper" last="Erikson"], [player_tooltip player_id="180280" first="Malachi" last="Coleman"], and the stable of excellent receivers they had this year. Very excited to see what is in store for Caden!

Trae was one of the players rotating as a WR and DB in one-on-one reps, and he did a great job in both roles. As a receiver, he is tough to keep track of in coverage. His routes are clean, and he has some of the best hands in the 2022 class. Starks has good height, lengthy arms, and hops to match up well with any DB. He also plays bigger and stronger than his 175-pound frame suggests and is tough to press at the line or bring down after the catch. Trae participated in the defensive back drills for position drills and stacked up well with his fellow top DB’s. As a DB, he has excellent ball skills and is aggressive when the ball is in the air. Overall, Trae is a playmaker and will excel on offense or defense, and he has the raw skills to be a star at the next level.

At this point, Bellevue West is just shining their crown as "WRU" (WRHS??) with another stacked wide receiver class. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="245878" first="Travis" last="Hines II"] is in line to be the next jewel on the crown with his extraordinary showing at the Stock Up showcase. With a stacked depth chart at receiver, Hines saw more time at corner than receiver but will undoubtedly see more playing time overall in 2022. Hines does an excellent job creating space for himself and can get open with ease. His route-running and use of double-moves, and quickness coming out of his breaks made him pop at the showcase. Travis has aggressive hands and the power to brush off attempts to press him at the line. Overall an excellent showing for a talented up-and-coming receiver.

Currently ranked #14 in our 2023 rankings, Adonis showed us why he is so highly regarded as a prospect. Hutchinson is lightning quick and can create magic with the ball in his hands. At the showcase, he really showed off his receiver abilities by making big catches over some of the best DBs. He has excellent hands and is very twitchy when running his routes. He keeps defensive backs guessing where his quick feet will take him. Hutchinson is a tremendous overall talent who can take the top off a defense, line up in the slot, or take a handoff to the house. Expect Adonis to blow the roof off of the 2022 season.

Tyler tore it up at the showcase in both the test-out portion and drills. He ran a 4.56 40 yard dash, 4.55 shuttle, 7.35 L-drill, and a 9’7.5" broad jump, all of which ranks among the best for WRs. Pickworth is a player that came onto the recruiting scene a little late but has absolutely blown up. At the showcase, he exhibited strong hands while running quick, sharp routes. Pickworth is very fast and can cut on a dime and change direction without losing speed. If you look past him, he will definitely torch your defense with his ability to strike from deep. Tyler isn’t scared to go up against any defensive back and can give anyone the work with his quickness.
