<strong>Desmin Jackson, Orange Lutheran, 2022</strong> The game between Orange Lutheran and Cathedral Catholic was a shootout and the Lancers were facing one of the top running backs in the state. Orange Lutheran had a spectacular, well-balanced offensive attack and its running back held up his end of the bargain in the shootout. Jackson rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries. He had a massive game against Valencia last weekend completing 18 of 26 passes for 438 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-38 win. He is 6-foot-6 and had nearly 50 touchdowns with only three interceptions this season. In my opinion, he is the second best college prospect at quarterback in the San Diego region. McClure made the most important play in the game with an 80-yard touchdown catch at the beginning of the third quarter which ended up being the game-winning play. He caught six passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. McClure is part of a very talented junior class at Mater Dei Catholic. He did exactly that and led his team to a big win against Long Beach Poly in the Regional Championships. He threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns in the back-and-forth classic game against a very talented Poly team. In my opinion, Sutton is a top 5 senior running back in the state and this game helped put him on the map and get him some recognition.
