So.Cal 8th Graders Flex En Route to FBU National Championship Dub
A perfect day for football started off with a dominating performance by So Cal 8th grade. A collection of Division 1 bound Trinity League superstars, including Dash Fifita, younger brother of Arizona commit, Noah Fifita Noah Fifita 5'10" | 175 lbs | QB Servite | 2022 State CA . So. Cal showed proved to be dangerous in all three phases of the game, scoring touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams. Cash Pearsall got the scoring going early with a 57-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage. Cash showed off his elusiveness and quickly broke into the open field to score the first touchdown of the day. Just like Pearsall, So. Cal never looked back. Scoring on every possession for the throughout the entire first half.
The massive So Cal offensive line continued to open gaping holes for their duo of running backs to run through, while also keeping their Quarterback Oscar Rios clean. Not to be outdone the stacked So Cal defense added on a couple of pick sixes by shutdown cornerback, Jayden Crowder. Crowder showed great man to man cover skills and instincts in zone, making great breaks in both cases to turn both interceptions into quick scores. Adding on another defensive touchdown was Etimoni Kailahi, with the scoop and score touchdown to round out the first half of scoring.
By half So Cal had the game comfortability intact with a score of 43 to 0.
In the second half with a running clock, So Cal continued to impress, showing impressive roster depth. Holding onto the shutout and adding another long touchdown run and an impressive punt return by Jacob Cruz. Cruz zigged and zagged and weaved his way to the final touchdown of the evening to close out the game with a final of 55 to 0.
