Team So. Cal came out of the gate quickly jumping on the board, gaining the 8 to 0 lead with a early touchdown on punt

return by #5,
Khary Wilder. On the following drive running back
Ashton Keyes followed up with a 53 yards touchdown run, extending the So Cal lead to 16 to 0. Keyes was a name that we heard all day long as he went on to have a huge day for So Cal, rushing for well over 200 yards. Quarterback
Reagan Toki was as advertised, proving to be smooth and accurate, distributing the ball to several receivers throughout the first half.
The So Cal defense played fast and aggressive, flying around to the ball, limiting the Utah offense to minimal yards in the first half. Led by lockdown corner
Aaryn Washington who showed great discipline in zone coverage breaking up several passes. Not to be outdone,
Matthew Zapien showed to be equally dominant in shutting down his side and ending a promising Utah drive with an interception in the 2
nd quarter. One play later, Zapien shows his versatility with a 33 yards touchdown to setup another long touchdown run by Keyes, this time, from 44 yards out. To close out the half, defensive end
Dillon Davis capitalized on a Utah fumble with a 28 yards scoop and score.
Other standouts included Khary Wilder, an all-around athlete that proved to be very elusive in the open field, as a receiver and punt returner, finishing the game with 5 receptions for 100+ yards and a dazzling first half punt return. The So Cal defense stayed the course holding the Utah offense to less than 100 yards of total offense and zero points on the scoreboard. Behind the efforts of front seven standouts
Jacob Taylor,
Dillon Davis and lockdown corners Washington and Zapien. Led by quarterback Reagan Toki, Ashton Keyes and stiff defense, So Cal proved themselves to be a well-rounded team to watchout for in Naples.
