RANKINGS UPDATE: Top Offensive Prospects in 2024 Class

The<a href="https://prepredzone.com/georgia/rankings/2024-rankings/"> 2024 rankings are here</a> and Prep Redzone has had eyeballs on some of the state’s top sophomore from this past fall. It’s an incredibly deep class full of high-end D1 talent and many of them made a big impact for their respective teams this past season. Now that the rankings have been updated, here are the top 5 offensive players in the 2024 class according to Prep Redzone... &nbsp; <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/kj-bolden/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="137438" first="KJ" last="Bolden"]</span></a> – ATH – Buford </strong> One of the nation’s top prospects in the 2024 class, Bolden is an explosive playmaker who can make plays on both sides of the ball. He may just be a sophomore, but the Buford star proved to be one of the biggest playmakers in the region. He was one of the top athletes on the state-championship Buford squad and colleges have already taken notice of the 6-foot-2 180-pounder. He has the size, athleticism, and ball skills to continue rising in the 2024 rankings. He’s a smooth route runner, can create separation on his own, and has a 2nd gear when he has the ball in space. He’s an impressive-looking prospect who will see his stock rise more and more this offseason. Look for him to have every offer in the book this time next year. &nbsp; <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/sammy-brown/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="137488" first="Sammy" last="Brown"]</span></a> – ATH – Jefferson</strong> He’s one of the top prospects across the country in the 2024 class, and after a dominant sophomore season playing both ways, it’s easy to see why. The dynamic running back/linebacker out of Jefferson was having a record-breaking season until a season-ending injury killed his season. The 6-foot-2 220-pounder will likely play linebacker at the next level, but as a sophomore this season, Brown has been running through defenses on a consistent basis. As a running back this fall, Brown rushed for 753 yards on 58 carries (13 ypc) and found the endzone 11 times. There have been times when the Dragons went to their backups in the 2nd half, so Brown’s numbers would be even bigger if he had played in more games late. Defensively, Brown has made 35 tackles, one sack, and recovered one fumble. He also holds offers from Georgia, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss. &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="220727" first="Jerrick" last="Gibson"] - RB - Mundys Mill</strong> <div class="article-content"> The 2024 class at running back is deep and talented, and the metro-Atlanta back from Mundy’s Mill is one of the best you’ll find. A quick, shifty back at 5-foot-10 180-pounds, Gibson knows how to make defenders miss and looks to be running at a different speed whenever he has the ball. Gibson is a game-changing back in the region and already has plans to play in the SEC. He’s already one of the top running backs in Atlanta and he’ll be one of the best backs across the state in 2022. He’s got the speed, acceleration, and big-play ability to continue to rise in the 2024 rankings over time. </div> &nbsp; <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/landen-thomas-2/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="220729" first="Landen" last="Thomas"]</span></a> – TE – Colquitt County</strong> One of the top 2024 playmakers in the state, sophomore tight end <a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/landen-thomas-2/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="220729" first="Landen" last="Thomas"]</span></a> is one of the top tight end prospects in the South with a great frame and athleticism. The 6-foot-4 210-pounder from South Georgia is a mismatch problem for defenses as he’s a big-bodied pass catcher who is only scratching the surface of his potential. Thomas caught only 31 passes this fall, but they went for 516 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s also an impact blocker on the edge and will continue to add more weight and muscle over the next few years, helping him build more strength to go along with his ability to catch passes. Look for Thomas to be ranked as one of the top 2024 TE prospects in American down the road. &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="137476" first="Reece" last="Fountain"] - QB - Rome</strong> One of the top 2024 QBs across the South, Fountain has a strong arm and one of the more dynamic sophomores in the state. The 6-foot-0 175-pounder had a strong sophomore season for the Wolves, passing for over 2,300 yards and 19 touchdowns. He was accurate, efficient, and distributed the ball well all season. He plays like a seasoned veteran and shows a calmness and poise in the pocket. He’s only going to get better, and he will be one of the top junior QBs to know about next fall.
