PRZ IA/NE Stock Up Showcase: DL Standouts

In football, the battle in the trenches often will play a major part in the decision of the game. I found myself really not being able to take my eye off the defensive lineman at camp as all showed great talent. We will be giving you which ones impressed the most at the showcase so you can stock up and get a good return on your investment! | Grand Island Northwest (NE) | 6’2" 221lbs | Class of 2023 Victor passes the eye test, his body type looks next level already. During the drills, he did not disappoint running a 4.9-sec 40-yard dash, a 4.81 shuttle, and a DL camp best 9’3" Broad Jump. During the 1:1s, he was explosive and there was not an offensive lineman there who could handle his strength and quickness. One thing that really impressed me, while watching, was that he was working on his technique a lot of times even when it was not his turn to perform. This kid is gifted physically and seems to enjoy the work that goes into it. Always a winning combo! https://www.hudl.com/profile/12784410/Victor-Isele Noah Bustard | Elkhorn South (NE) | 6’1" 208lbs | Class of 2023 Noah was another who showed great speed for his size. He ran a 4.84 40-yard dash, a DL best 4.08 Shuttle, and had an 8’2" broad jump. He gave lineman trouble with his speed during 1:1s and showed great balance working around them. Noah is very charismatic. He has a 4.0 GPA and is probably always working on how to outperform his opponents mentally, not just physically! He and should not have any trouble eating next year. They will be carrying sack lunches to every game next year! https://www.hudl.com/profile/10329915/Noah-Bustard JR Lecuona | Millard South (NE) | 6’3" 224lbs | Class of 2024 JR is another who passes the eye test. He is a big, strong-looking young man and believe it or not, will still grow! He ran a 5.16 40-yard dash, a 4.83 shuttle time but had an impressive 7.79 time in the L drill. JR is not quite as fast as a few of the others but if you combine his good speed and strength and he will be living in opposing quarterback’s heads the next couple of years. Millard South got a lot of attention on the offensive side last year but their strength next year could lie on the front line on the other side of the ball! https://www.hudl.com/profile/14813369/JR-Lecuona | Lisbon (IA) | 6’3" 224lbs | Class of 2022 Aiden has tremendous length and speed. He ran a DL best 4.76 40-yard dash, a 4.94 time in the shuttle, a 7.9 time in the L drill, and had an 8’4" broad jump. He had a very good camp and showed as a top prospect coming out of this camp. His length and speed gave the lineman trouble. He has a strong motor that keeps him pushing. Aiden was a key component in Lisbon’s 8-2 season. He is athletically gifted for a big man. Not only does he perform well on a wrestling mat but he can run a 5.11 40-yard dash, a 4.75 shuttle, and a 7.70 on the L drill. He is tough to handle on the interior of the line and should consistently require two blockers. He was a leader on an Omaha North team’s defense who started the year 0-5 but knocked off the top team in the state and ended up in the semifinals before losing to the eventual state champs, Gretna. This young man is already garnering Division 1 interest and will be a force for the next few years! https://www.hudl.com/profile/14469869/Tyson-Terry Honorable Mentions: Luce Barrett | Millard North (NE) | 6’3" 245lbs |Class of 2023 Luce did great in the drills. He ran a 4.75 in the shuttle, a 7.84 time in the L drill, and had an 8’3" broad jump. Bryson Zimmerman | Millard South (NE) | 5’10" 194lbs | Class of 2023 Bryson had an 8’5" broad jump and ran a 7.87 time in the L Drill. He impressed me in the 1:1s. He was explosive and showed multiple attack maneuvers.
