The defensive line is what we are going to be discussing in today’s article. The 2025 prospect list for the state of Arkansas is a list that continues to grow every week and we are going to see some new names added to the list today. Let’s take a look at some players to take note of and get to know on the defensive line.
Landon Canady Landon Canady 6'2" | 320 lbs | DL Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR -Joe T. Robinson-6’2” 320-Pounds
Joe T. Robinson has another lineman that can work on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Canady is extremely disruptive on the defensive line. He has the power and the speed to live in the opposing offensive backfield. Canady is quick enough to move all along the defensive line and disrupt both the run and the passing game. Canady has tremendous potential on both sides of the ball and has the talent to be a force over the next few years.
Nykkisson Wimberly Nykkisson Wimberly 6'1" | 255 lbs | DL Arkadelphia | 2025 State AR -Arkadelphia-6’1” 255-Pounds
One of the most talented defensive linemen that will catch scout’s eyes over the next two seasons is Nykkisson Wimberly Nykkisson Wimberly 6'1" | 255 lbs | DL Arkadelphia | 2025 State AR . The Arkadelphia Badgers have an impressive defensive line and Wimberly gives the Badgers a quick defensive lineman that can rush the passer. Wimberly is always around the football and pursues the ball carrier well. The potential this young man has is high and the best is yet to come for him. Keep an eye on Wimberly, you won’t be disappointed.
Danny Johnson Danny Johnson 6'1" | 280 lbs | DL Pine Bluff | 2025 State AR -Pine Bluff-6’0” 260-Pounds
The Pine Bluff Zebras do a great job of producing defensive linemen that can terrorize the opposing offensive backfield. Johnson has impressive quickness and uses it well to get into the offensive backfield. Meanwhile, he is strong enough to catch the opposing offensive lineman off-balance and drive him into the backfield. Johnson pursues the ball well and will not be outworked. He is going to be a player to watch on the defensive side of the ball over the next few years.
Keon Stallings Keon Stallings 6'3" | 250 lbs | DL Nettelton | 2025 State AR -Nettleton-6’3” 250-Pounds
Stallings plays with a chip on his shoulder, and he is fun to watch. He uses his mix of power and speed well. Stallings can rush the quarterback with impressive effectiveness. However, the area of his game that impresses me the most is his ability to stop the opponent’s rushing attack. The versatility that Stallings has along the defensive line is one of the best attributes. Stallings has the potential to be a force on the defensive side of the ball for the next few years on Friday nights. He is another player that has the ability to play on Saturdays in the future.
Jakobe Dickens Jakobe Dickens 5'5" | 165 lbs | DL Gurdon | 2025 State AR -Gurdon-5’6” 172-Pounds
Dickens has terrific speed. He uses his speed well to pursue the ball carrier and get into the backfield. Dickens does a good job of fending off blocks and making a play to bring the ball carrier down. Dickens is going to be a player to watch out for over the next two years. He is a versatile young man and can be moved all along the offensive and defensive lines. Keep an eye on Dickens.
Peyton Adams Peyton Adams 5'9" | 245 lbs | DL Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR -Pulaski Academy-5’11” 250-Pounds
Peyton Adams Peyton Adams 5'9" | 245 lbs | DL Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR is a deceptive player. He can hurt you using his power and his speed. What stands out on his film is the strength he has to defeat the blocks. However, you can not overlook his speed, because he has the speed to track down the opposing running back or quarterback. Adams is another player that is versatile, and I would expect him to be moved all over the defensive line over the next few years. He is a talented player that can hurt you if he is not accounted for by the opposing offensive line.
