The running backs in this group are game changers and can have a huge impact on the football game. We are going to shine on a spotlight on several of the backs today and give a brief preview of what is to come. Braylen Russell Braylen Russell 6'2" | 190 lbs | RB Benton | 2024 State AR -Hot Springs Lakeside-6’2”-190
The Hot Springs Lakeside running back is a powerhouse at the running back position. Russell has that mix of power and speed that division one schools are looking for in a running back. He is a running back that can carry into the teeth of the defense or cut it to the outside. With a scholarship offer from Arkansas in his possession, Russell has the potential to explode on to the recruiting scene over the next few years.
Jalen Dupree Jalen Dupree 6'1" | 210 lbs | RB Malvern | 2024 State AR -Malvern-6’1” 185-Pounds
Dupree is the kind of running back in which you enjoy watching his film. How Dupree has stayed under the radar to this point has me scratching my head. During the 2021 season, Dupree had a monster season for the Leopards of Malvern. Dupree rushed for 1,607 yards and punched the ball in the end zone an impressive 18 times. He is a running back that is going to explode on to the scene over the next few months. Dupree is a running back with exceptional speed, and he is going to give opposing defenses plenty of headaches over the next few years.
Parker Brown Parker Brown 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Heber Springs | 2024 State AR -Heber Springs-5’11” 165-Pounds
The Heber Springs running back does a little bit of everything well for the Panthers. Brown has the speed to create plenty of headaches for the opposing defensive coordinators. He is they type of player that can not only play the running back position he can also be split out wide to play the receiver spot. One thing you know without a shadow of a doubt is that Brown is dangerous with the football in his hands. Keep an eye out for Brown over the next few seasons he is a talented player all over the field.
Kenneth Jordan Kenneth Jordan 6'1" | 180 lbs | RB Pulaski Academy | 2024 State AR -Pulaski Academy-6’1” 180-Pounds
The Pulaski Academy Bruins are always a talented group in the skill positions. Jordan has impressive speed, and he has no issues running the ball between the tackles. He has a second gear when he gets into the open field. The versatility is impressive with Jordan, and he is going to be a player to cause Pulaski Academy opponents plenty of headaches over the next few years. Opposing teams better get ready, the Bruins look like they are going to be loaded again next season.
Rylan Ray Rylan Ray 5'9" | 220 lbs | RB Booneville | 2024 State AR -Booneville-5’9” 220-Pounds
The Booneville Bearcats make sure the running backs that they use get plenty of carries. Rylan Ray Rylan Ray 5'9" | 220 lbs | RB Booneville | 2024 State AR fits the system perfectly with the Bearcats. He is the type of running back that will run opposing defensive players over. Ray looks to deliver the blow instead of taking one. Booneville is always a talented team, and the next few seasons should not be any different. Keep an eye on Ray, he has the potential to be a playmaker on both sides of the ball.
