We have recently updated the class of 2022 prospect rankings for the state of Arkansas. The quarterback class for the class of 2022 is one of the most talented groups that the state has seen in several years. The regular season helped give a clear picture of the quality of quarterbacks and the impressive depth that the state of Arkansas has.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]-Fayetteville-6’2” 195-Pounds</strong>
The Fayetteville signal caller had a phenomenal season for the Bulldogs. He led Fayetteville to a state-runner up finish to Bryant and put together an impressive season. Fike has displayed a strong arm all season in throwing for 45 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Fike passed for 4,100 yards and he more than once displayed a willingness to pick up yards on the ground. Fike has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75081" first="Austin" last="Myers"]-Vilonia-6’4” 185-Pounds</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="75081" first="Austin" last="Myers"] had a strong season in 2021 after an injury shortened his season a year ago. The Vilonia quarterback made quick decisions with the football and was accurate with his throws this season. Myers has the arm strength to make the difficult throws and he avoids being careless with the football. Myers passed for 3,291 yards, 45 touchdowns, and only five interceptions on the season. Myers is another quarterback in the class of 2022 that has the ability to play on Saturdays in the future.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93533" first="Jordan" last="Mills"]-Hot Springs Lakeside-6’4” 210-Pounds</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="93533" first="Jordan" last="Mills"] has the arm strength and accuracy to be a dangerous quarterback to contend with. During the 2021 season, Mills made good decisions with the football for the Lakeside Rams. He passed for 2,892 yards, 31 touchdowns, and three interceptions on the season. Mills can make all the throws needed to be an impressive quarterback at the next level. He moves around just well enough in the pocket to concern opposing defensive linemen. Mills is always looking to make the throw down the field and scouts should keep an eye on him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="94994" first="Cooper" last="Wilcox"]-Greenbrier-6’0” 175-Pounds</strong>
Wilcox is a football player that has a great deal of talent as well as grit. Wilcox had a terrific season for Greenbrier this season. He passed for 2,436 yards, 28 touchdowns, and only five interceptions this season. What scouts will like the most is that Wilcox will pick up extra yards on the ground and he uses his legs well. The Greenbrier signal caller rushed for 1,000 yards this season and punched the ball in the end zone 19 times. Wilcox is a player that scouts should take a long look at, he is a player that just loves the game, and he will do anything he can to secure a victory.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="153818" first="Sharmon" last="Rester"]-El Dorado-5’11” 185-Pounds</strong>
Rester is a quarterback that can move the ball using his arm or his legs. He is an accurate quarterback with a strong arm. During the 2021 season, Rester threw for 3,537 yards, 41 touchdowns, and only five interceptions. Rester was not afraid to use his legs to pick up chunks of yards. He rushed for 935 yards and 10 touchdowns in leading the Wildcats to a state championship. He is a quarterback that college scouts should take a long look at, he has the talent to be a factor on Saturdays in the fall.
