The class of 2022 is getting ready to sign national letters of intent over the next few months. However, that does not mean Prep RedZone does not have some updates to the 2022 class to make. We had numerous players that made jumps in this edition of the Prep RedZone Arkansas Rankings. The ranking risers article is always one of the most interesting to do because you get the opportunity to look at the progress each prospect has made during the season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]-Quarterback-Fayetteville</strong>
One player that made it his goal to improve this season was [player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]. Fike most certainly accomplished that goal and, in the process, earned a scholarship offer from Middle Tennessee State University, The Fayetteville quarterback led the Purple Dogs to a state championship game appearance. Fike earned jumping into the top Prep RedZone Arkansas top 20 with a very strong senior season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75067" first="Joe" last="Himon"]-Running Back-Pulaski Academy</strong>
The Northwestern commit did not have any drop off in terms of performance his senior season. Himon had a fantastic senior season. He rushed for 1,153yards and he punched the ball in the end zone 23 times on the ground. However, Himon was not finished, he was on the receiving end of 53 passes for 677 yards and eight touchdowns. Northwestern has landed in the steal in the talented running back this season. I would not be surprised to see some earn some carries quickly for the Northwestern Wildcats.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75075" first="Kaiden" last="Turner"]-Linebacker-Fayetteville</strong>
One linebacker that continued to impress all season long is Indiana commit [player_tooltip player_id="75075" first="Kaiden" last="Turner"]. Turner is one of those players that the defense was forced to account for all season. He is a linebacker that has no trouble dropping back into coverage and making a play on the ball. The Hoosiers of Indiana are getting complete linebacker in the form Turner. Turner jumps a little higher into the top ten landing at number seven with this update.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75103" first="Jacovey" last="Barker"]-Defensive Line-Camden Fairview</strong>
One of the most dominant defensive linemen in the state of Arkansas made a big jump into the top 35. Barker had 63 tackles and 19 sacks on the season for the Cardinals this season. Barker has the speed needed to defeat blockers and the power he has is terrific. He was not just a pass rusher, and it was displayed in the way he disrupted the opponents rushing attack this season. Keep an eye on Barker, his recruiting could really take off over the next couple of weeks.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="92902" first="Randon" last="Ray"]-Athlete-Booneville</strong>
The Booneville quarterback made plays for the Bearcats all season long. Ray has terrific speed and did a great job of putting it on display throughout the season this season. He rushed for 33 touchdowns on the season and in the process 1,609 yards. With Ray as the signal caller, the Bearcats won the conference title and made it to the state semi-finals this season. Ray plays baseball for the Bearcats as well, so fans still have plenty of shots to see him over the next few months.
