Oregon Underclassmen (2024 & 25’s) on the Rise The PRZ rankings will be updated shortly. Referenced below are individuals you will see added to the rankings board, with a few being listed among the very top athletes in Oregon. Have a look.. Brysen Kachel 6-3 225 LB/TE 24’ West Albany- Kachel has a chance to be a big time D1 recruit. He earned all-state honors on both sides of the football, something incredibly rare for a Sophomore. On the season he caught 15 passes for 270 yards and 2 TDs (18 ypc), with 26 tackles and a sack. [player_tooltip player_id="216646" first="Charlie" last="Crowell"] 6-5 215 TE/DE 24’ Summit- Has the size and all of the tools to be one of the top prospects in the class. His basketball ability speaks to his overall athleticism. He will dominate the competition with the drop to 5A. Blake Hurley 6-1 175 WLB 24’ Sunset- Hurley has legit size and comes from a talented family, racking up 3rd team All-Metro honors as a Sophomore. The Apollos have overachieved the last few seasons and he will be a key factor if that is to continue. Patrick Wooley 6-5 360 DT/G 24’ Liberty- The big man broke out earning 1st team all-conference honors as a Sophomore. From a size standpoint he is massive. We will see how that fluctuates in the years to come. Malcolm I’aulualo 6-3 245 OL/DL 24’ Hood River- Most aren’t aware of I’aulualo, playing 5A ball, but he earned 1st team all-conference honors on offense and looks the part. Size is a question if we are talking D1 ball but recent Hood River standout Henry Buckles did big things, ending up on scholarship at Oregon St. Suliasi Laulaupeaalu 6-2 350 DT/OL 25’ Sherwood- Projects to be one of the top recruits in Oregon for the 2025 class. Laulaupeaalu started at tackle as a freshman, earning honorable mention all-conference honors. You will hear his name often in the coming years. Mitchell Mahlum 6-3 215 LB 24’ Liberty- This kid could blow up with continued progression. The son of head coach Eric Mahlum, he comes from a football family with NFL genes. He already has the size earning all-conference honors as a Sophomore. [player_tooltip player_id="218309" first="Connor" last="Cesaro"] 6-2 180 WR/S 24’ North Medford- Cesaro started as a Sophomore and looks the part. Expect him to play a big role for a talented Black Tornado squad the next two seasons, similar to standout 1st team all-conference dual threat [player_tooltip player_id="108140" first="Bryce" last="Dyer"]. Trevor O’leary 6-0 185 DB/QB 24’ Glencoe- The Crimson Tide are lucky to have coach Ian Reynoso leading the program. O’leary was a big contributor as a Sophomore, earning honorable mention all-conference honors at DB. With [player_tooltip player_id="28845" first="Royce" last="Fasel"] and [player_tooltip player_id="108137" first="Zack" last="Schlottmann"] graduating he will be relied upon heavily. Jesaun Gonzalez 6-2 185 WR/S 25’ Crater- Probably Crater’s best WR as a freshman. Look for him to be listed as one of the top 2025’s in Oregon, and most likely one of the top players in the conference as a Sophomore. Tanner Steinbach 5-10 155 DB/RB 24’ Liberty- Steinbach broke out as a Sophomore, earning all-conference honors on both sides of the football (2nd team DB, Hon Mention RB). He projects as one of the top two-way threats in the Pacific Conference. Aydin Ellis 6-0 145 ATH 24’ Century- Comes from a talented family. Aydin had a nice sophomore season earning honorable mention all-conference honors at DB, while making 38 total tackles. Look for him to get in the mix on the offensive side of the ball next season as well.
