With so much talent across the region on both sides of the ball, there are plenty of available running backs across Norcal that still remain unsigned and would make a positive impact in any college program. Below, we will list and breakdown some of those backs.

[player_tooltip player_id="25322" first="Jabari" last="Phillips"], Golden Valley HS
[player_tooltip player_id="25322" first="Jabari" last="Phillips"] has been explosive and dynamic since his Freshman year. Since then, he has showed that he is a big time back and has elite quickness and initial acceleration through the hole. Able to bounce off tacklers and possessing the speed to cut it outside while running tough between the tackles, he is a very physical runner for his size that sees the entire field well and his talents should transition nicely to the college level.
Aiden Taylor, Central Catholic HS
One of the most under-recruited backs across the region, during his senior season he rushed for 35+ touchdowns and over 2,100 yards. Taylor is big, physical, strong and tough to tackle both in the box and the open field with sneaky third level speed. Always falling forward, he has a strong lower body and runs with a low pad level while keeping his feet running through contact and consistently breaks one on one tackles. He is more of a North and South runner but his physical running style and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield makes him a FCS caliber talent.
[player_tooltip player_id="143135" first="Jaylen" last="Blacksher"], Edison HS
A low to the ground and compact runner, Blacksher is very athletic for his size and makes big plays through the air and on the ground. Packing a punch near the LOS, he is a fluid runner that initiates contact and displays nice acceleration and lateral movement abilities in traffic while able to hit the hole quickly and efficiently. Recently picking up an offer from Ottawa in Arizona, it will be interesting to see what others pull the trigger in the Stockton back.
Tyler Harrison, Paradise HS
Harrison is one of the most prolific backs across the region and has quietly put together a very impressive high school career for the Northern Section Power. Able to play multiple positions at the next level due to his size, strength, length and athleticism, schools could look at him on either side of the ball in college and he could translate to an outside linebacker or play anywhere on the second level. Not currently holding any offers, he is one of the best kept secrets across Northern California in the 2022 class.
