There were many athletes that made a name for themselves this season with confidence heading into the offseason.
We will focus on the top defensive backs in the class of 2023 that you should keep an eye on.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-size: 18pt;">CB, Shemar Williams, Long Branch</span> </strong></span>
<em><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Jr., 6’1 170</span></em>
Mr. Williams earned first- team all shore and was a key contributor for the Green Wave that finished the season 8-2. Williams had five interception and three were returned for a touchdown. Also, 61 tackles , 16 tackles for loss, and two fumble recoveries. Williams has a good feel for the game. He has great instincts and ball skills. William is a playmaker who is expected to have breakout year next season.
<b><span style="font-size: 24pt;">CB, [player_tooltip player_id="146698" first="Adon" last="Shuler"] , Irvington</span> </b>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><i>Jr., 6’1 190</i></span>
Mr. Shuler was outstanding this season and earned Second- Team All-,Conference . He led his team to a Group 4 North state title and finished their season 11-2. Shuler finished the year with 80 tackles and six interceptions, two of those were returned for a touchdown. He has incredible speed and athleticism. Schuler is verbally committed to Norte Dame.
<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b>CB, </b><b>[player_tooltip player_id="120547" first="Quiyon" last="McMillan"], Nottingham</b></span>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><em>Jr., 5’11 180</em></span>
Mr. McMillian was a huge part of Nottingham’s success this season. He led Nottingham to their first sectional title and 9-1 season. McMillian finished the year with six interceptions, 13 pass break ups and 27 tackles. He has excellent ball skills and first step quickness. Keep your eyes on McMillian who will have memorable senior season.
<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b>CB, Shaequan</b></span><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b> Walters, Don Bosco Prep </b></span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em>Jr., 6’1 180 </em></span>
Mr. Walters is a solid defense back that sis technically sound. He has good technique to stay in phase with receivers. Walters finished the year with 6 tackles and one interception. He is reliable and a sure tackler. Don Bosco finished their season 8-5 and second round playoff appearance.
