Arkansas 2023 Quarterbacks to Watch

The 2023 class in the state of Arkansas is shaping up to be an extremely talented class this season. An early look at the quarterbacks in this class is an indicator that the quarterback class is going to be a strong one during the 2022 season. The quarterback position is one that continues to impress every season and the 2023 class has the potential to be a special group. Eli Wisdom Eli Wisdom 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Shiloh Christian | 2023 State AR -Shiloh Christian-6’0” 180-Pounds The Shiloh Christian signal caller has put together two solid seasons in a row for the Saints. Leading the Saints to a state championship and a state runner up finish this season. His career totals up to this point are extremely impressive. Wisdom has passed for 5,116 yards, 59 touchdowns, and only 17 interceptions. Meanwhile, Wisdom is not shy about moving the ball with his legs. He has rushed for 2,485 yards and 42 touchdowns in his career. The impressive thing is Wisdom still has one more season to go and he has already received a scholarship offer from Central Florida. Look for him to have another impressive season in 2022. Carston Poole Carston Poole 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Prescott | 2023 State AR -Prescott-6’2” 180-Pounds One player that had a strong 2021 season was Prescott signal caller Carston Poole Carston Poole 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Prescott | 2023 State AR . Poole is an athletic quarterback that has lined up all over the field for the Curley Wolves. Poole has displayed an accurate arm throwing for 2,636 yards, 30 touchdowns, and only 10 interceptions this season. Poole is a player to keep an eye on, he moves around well in the pocket and is always looking to make the throw downfield. Poole has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future. Donovan Whitten Donovan Whitten 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Arkadelphia | 2023 State AR -Arkadelphia-6’3” 220-Pounds The Arkadelphia Badgers have been on a roll the past few seasons and the trend should continue over the next few seasons. Whitten put on a show a few weeks ago against the Shiloh Christian Saints in the state playoffs. The Badgers’ quarterback threw for 2,534 yards and 31 touchdowns this season. Whitten has proven that he is not afraid to pull the ball down and run with the football. Whitten rushed for 414 yards and four touchdowns this season. He is one player I expect to have an even bigger season this season. The Hazen quarterback is an accurate passer and incredibly versatile player. King passed for 2,800 yards and 32 touchdowns this season. He is a quarterback that knows when to escape the pocket and pick up yards with his legs. King picked up 375 yards and six touchdowns on the ground this season. King is a quarterback to keep an eye on during the off season he has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future. Jaidan Strange Jaidan Strange 6'2" | 170 lbs | ATH Stuttgart | 2023 State AR -Stuttgart-6’2 170-Pounds Strange is a terrific athlete. He lined up all over the field for Stuttgart this season. Strange is the type of player that can make plays with his legs and escapes the pocket easily. He is the type of player that can turn a small gain into an explosive one quickly. Strange has the arm strength to make all the throws and he is someone that scouts will want to keep an eye on over the next few months. He is an extremely versatile player and is a big play waiting to happen.
