8A District 5 Quarterback Post Season Analysis

<div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> With the 2021 season coming to an end, I’m doing a postseason analysis for Quarterback prospects from every Classification/District/Region in Florida. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. No other prep site brings you more prospects to check out than Prep Redzone Florida!           [player_tooltip player_id="108646" first="Casey" last="St. John"]- Boone High 6’2 200lbs St. John had a very good senior season for Boone High leading them to an 8-4 record and a playoff berth. He led the district and passing with 2105 yards and completed and eye-popping 71% of his passes while also throwing 32 touchdown! He added 142 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. He’s a pro-style quarterback that has very good size and athleticism, reads defenses quickly and gets the ball out of his hands, shows good footwork and mechanics and has outstanding zip on slants and all short and intermediate routes. He throws a pretty ball with nice touch on deep fades and is deadly accurate. He’s an outstanding student with a 4.7 GPA. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Film:<a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/6546450/Casey-St-John">https://www.hudl.com/profile/6546450/Casey-St-John</a>   Khari Rennie- Lake Nona High c/o 23 6’1 195lbs Rennie had a very good season leading Lake Nona to a 7-3 record and finished second in the district and passing with 1551 yards, completed 66% of his passes and threw 10 touchdowns. He also added 378 yards rushing and seven touchdowns on the ground. Very accurate quarterback that shows the ability to throw from different arm angles with accuracy, has above-average arm strength and can put zip on intermediate passes and fit them through tight windows, processes coverages and knows where to go with the ball, also has the speed (4.71 40) to beat you with his legs and can throw on the run. He finished the season with 1134 yards passing, completed over 57% of his passes and passed for 11 touchdowns. He also added 616 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the ground and had three 100-yard rushing games on the season. Birchler has very good size/athleticism combo, shows the speed to beat you with his legs, throws a nice deep ball with touch and ball placement, shows accuracy at all three levels, and can spin it with heat when needed.
