8A District 2 Quarterback Post Season Analysis

There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. No other prep site brings you more prospects to check out than Prep Redzone Florida!           [player_tooltip player_id="50174" first="Gunnar" last="Smith"]– Lake Mary High 6’4 190lbs Smith had a fantastic season for Lake Mary and led them to a 10-2 record and a to the second round of the state playoffs. He led the district and passing with 2180 yards, 22 touchdowns, completed over 65% of his passes and rushed for four touchdowns. Smith is a really good all-around quarterback prospect that reads coverages well, and gets the ball out of his hand quickly, he throws with nice touch and anticipation and does a good job getting out of the pocket buying time while keeping his eyes downfield. He was second in the district in passing yards with 2088, completed over 56% of his passes, and passed for 20 touchdowns. Copper is a smart quarterback that distributes the football all over the field with accuracy, has the arm strength to rip the ball through tight windows. He is very poised and does a good job standing tall in the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield. Very underrated prospect that currently has an offer from Crown College. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/6288646/Chase-Copper   [player_tooltip player_id="128344" first="Luke" last="Rucker"]- Seminole High c/o 23 6’3 200lbs Rucker was outstanding for Seminole High this season. He led them to 11-2 record and a deep playoff run that ended in a heartbreaking OT loss in the regional finals. He threw for 1539 yards, completed 54% of his passes and passed for 22 touchdowns. Rucker has above-average mechanics, and has a very good arm showing the ability to throw with touch and zip at all three levels, he also shows the ability to maneuver in the pocket and throw strikes down field, his deep ball accuracy is impressive. He’s a three-star prospect that currently has an offer from FAU. He’s an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA. He passed for 929 yards, completed 52% of his passes, and threw 11 touchdowns. Roberts possesses a nice easy throwing motion and has very good arm talent showing the ability to fire the ball all over the field, shows very good accuracy and ability to hit receivers in stride, has above-average footwork and mechanics, the ball placement on his deep passes is impressive.
