Caleb Douglas
Caleb Douglas 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR/TE | 2022
TX

On Friday December 3rd, 2021 The Katy Paetow Panthers played against The Hightower Hurricane in the 5A division I championship game. The Hightower Hurricanes has great athletes on both sides of the ball. However, despite that they couldn’t overcome The Katy Paetow Panthers strong offensive firepower. The final score was 35-12 with The Katy Paetow Panthers coming out victorious. Although, The Hightower Hurricanes lost I was impressed by their offensive standouts.

#26 Jeremy Payne RB, KR So 5’11 175 lbs

Jeremy Payne is a splendid running back. Jeremy is a sophomore running back with a great amount of speed. There were a lot of plays where Jeremy was running with the ball and he used his tremendous speed to dash by numerous of defenders. At times Jeremy would go out for a pass play. One play Jeremy caught an unbelievable pass while literally five defenders were covering him. Jeremy is a standout running back I’m excited to see his progress in his junior and senior year of football. Jeremy ended the night with 18 carries and 3 receptions for a total of 135 all purpose yards with one touchdown.

#10 Kendron Penson, Jr QB, SS So 5’11 170 lbs

Kendron Penson, Jr did a great job leading his offense as the quarterback. Kendron was good at making plays while under pressure. Kendron was a great scrambler and had an impressive throwing arm. Kendron is still growing as a quarterback I’m excited to see his progress in his junior and senior year of football. Kendron ended the night with two touchdown passes.

#1 Kaleb Johnson WR Sr 5’9 165 lbs

A wide receiver that stood out the most to me was #1 Kaleb Johnson. Kaleb was a quick and fast wide receiver. Kaleb is very reliable as well he was able to catch any kind of pass thrown his way. It is unfortunate that Kaleb high football career is now over I hope to see him continue to play at the collegiate level. Kaleb ended the night with 4 receptions, 90 receiving yards and one touchdown.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id="131395" first="Caleb" last="Douglas"] WR, P, K Sr 6’4 195 lbs

Another standout wide receiver is [player_tooltip player_id="131395" first="Caleb" last="Douglas"]. Caleb at 1st didn’t standout much to me, but I realized he was a dependable target for pass plays. Caleb was fast and had admirable footwork. Didn’t matter what kind of coverage was on Caleb he would use his speed and footwork to try to get open. It is unfortunate that Kaleb high football career is now over, however he is a college prospect. Having numerous college and universities offers from; Baylor University, University of Florida, University of Southern California, Virginia Tech, University of Maryland and many others. Caleb ended the night with 4 receptions and 55 receiving yards.
