5 Elite Offensive Prospects from the WCAC

Now that the offseason is upon us, it makes a lot of sense to look back on the season and highlight the top performing players from around the state. Wyatt is also an elite track runner at DeMatha, and that fact becomes extremely evident once you see him run with the football. He possesses blazing speed, amongst the fastest in the conference, and there’s no question that he will command the majority of the touches out of the backfield next season for the Stags. Heisman trophy race, decided by fan vote, this season was Nyckoles Harbor Nyckoles Harbor 6'6" | 220 lbs | DL Archbishop Carroll | 2023 State MD . Harbor hauled in 7 touchdowns and nearly 500 total yards of offense, helping Archbishop Carroll to a 13-1 overall record. He recently added to his sublime list of offers, receiving West coast offers from both Stanford and USC. Harbor is easily amongst the top three best receivers in the District of Columbia, and there’s no question that he’s primed for another dominant season next year. Hagan led the Cadets to an undefeated season, a WCAC Championship, and he also earned First Team All-WCAC honors. He threw 2,400 yards and maintained a 24-3 touchdowns to interceptions ratio. 8 touchdowns for every 1 interception is an absolutely amazing stat-line, and it really speaks to the dominant season that Wyatt Hagan Wyatt Hagan 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB St. John's Catholic Prep | 2022 State MD displayed. Wyatt Hagan Wyatt Hagan 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB St. John's Catholic Prep | 2022 State MD has everything it takes to succeed at the D1 level, and it would be blasphemous for no program at that level to give him a chance. McDonald was only a Junior this season, and, with Nate Kurisky Nate Kurisky 6'3" | 225 lbs | TE Gonzaga College | 2022 State MD gone next season, Jalen McDonald will be the undisputed #1 pass catcher for this program. There’s no question that he’s ready for the spotlight and all of the extra balls thrown his way. If any player on this list is going to have bigger and better numbers than they did last year then it’s most certainly going to be Jalen McDonald. The Senior running back was far and away the top offensive player for the Cadets, racking up 1,000 yards rushing and 12 total touchdowns on the year. What stands out when you watch Curtis play is his elite pass catching ability. His receiving prowess really separates him from the rest of the RBs in his class, regardless of his size. There’s no substitute for versatility at the Division 1 level, and, over the course of his career and this year especially, Jamar Curtis Jamar Curtis 5'6" | 170 lbs | RB St. John's (DC) | 2022 State MD proved himself to be one of the most versatile running backs in the nation. He is as elite at the position as any other at the high school level, and he should not be overlooked during the recruiting process.
