#11 Jake Zann Jake Zann 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Alpena | 2024 State MI (#96 overall)
From way up in Alpena, Zann is a great QB with a high ceiling, and I’d say he can only go up from here. He displays great accuracy, and is able to make just about every throw. He can throw it short, deep, mid, you name it. Some things he needs to work on are his throw power and overall decision making in the pocket.
#12 Joseph Pizzo Joseph Pizzo 6'2" | 165 lbs | QB Lansing Sexton | 2024 State MI (#101 overall)
A great dual-threat QB, Pizzo is a really unique prospect out of Waverly. He thrives outside of the pocket and is insanely athletic. He has an arsenal full of jukes, spins, fakes, etc, making him a true Lamar Jackson type. He needs to improve on his throwing mechanics and consistency.
#13 Aiden O’Brien Aiden O’Brien 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Lawton | 2024 State MI (#114 overall)
A great competitor, O’Brien is a rare D7 gem. He puts in plenty of work in the offseason with lots of weight lifting and 7on7 camps. He balled out on the varsity squad this season, and looks to lead the great Lawton program to new heights in 2022. I could see O’Brien rise a ton on the list, but I could also see him staying at #13.
#14 Tyler Wright Tyler Wright 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Detroit Renaissance | 2024 State MI (#117 overall)
Wright is a good quarterback that just needs to find his stride. At his best, he’s accurate down the field with not too much arc, though there is some velocity to be desired. He can also get out of the pocket and make things happen often. He plays some great competition during the season, and that will surely help him raise his stock.
#15 Ryan Shelby Ryan Shelby QB North Farmington | 2024 State MI (#126 overall)
Very similar to Wright, Shelby is really good when he wants to be. I honestly expect Shelby to rise through the ranks over 2022. North Farmington was a very interesting team throughout 2021, as they won their first 3 games against Farmington, Lake Orion, and Groves, then went on to lose to State Runner-up Adams in OT, then lost to a bad Seaholm team. Shelby is a guy who can get out of the pocket and well as make some good throws, but there are some nights where he’s just off.
#16 Amauri Haller Amauri Haller 5'9" | 165 lbs | DB Port Huron | 2024 State MI (#128 overall)
The Port Huron QB was great this season, and looks to build off of a nice 2021. His strength is running the football while scrambling, as well as the option. He’s a capable thrower that needs some work.
#17 Colton Kinnie Colton Kinnie 6'2" | 225 lbs | QB Seaholm | 2024 State MI (#147 overall)
Kinnie was a good QB for Seaholm in 2021 and I expect him to rise in the ranks soon. He’s a very familiar Seaholm QB as he’s strong as an ox with average accuracy and below average elusiveness. None of that is bad, as we just saw someone named Parker Picot Parker Picot 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Rochester Adams | 2023 State MI take Division 1 by storm in a very similar Veer scheme. With that being said, Picot is Kinnie’s ceiling, with the floor being where he’s at now (still a high floor).
#18 Sunny Kadlitz Sunny Kadlitz 6'0" | 155 lbs | QB Berkley | 2024 State MI (#156 overall)
Kadlitz had his moments with Berkley, leading them to a 6-3 record with a close loss against district champion Waterford Mott in the postseason. Having played 6 games in 2021, Kadlitz displays good short accuracy, as well as decent mid-long balls. He’s a pure pocket passer that a bit undersized as of right now and needs to sharpen up some of his longer throws going into 2022. Regardless, he’s a great ball player that played varsity as a sophomore, which is not an easy feat.
