<span style="font-weight: 400;">With the regular season winding down, we take a look at the top quarterback performances from Week 9 action in the Garden State.

<strong>AJ Surace | Notre Dame </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Surace led the state in passing yards during Week 9 as he completed 19 of 37 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-28 loss to Nottingham. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound sophomore has now passed for 1,446 yards on the season. He threw touchdown passes of 2, 31 and 70 yards.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Analysis:</strong> Surace stands tall in the pocket and allows the play to develop in front of him. He does a good job staying in the pocket when the defense is closing in on him. He tends to throw off his back foot a lot, which is something he’ll have to get cleaned up going forward, but he’s got the arm strength to deliver the ball to his receivers in stride. </span>
<strong>Tommy Caracciolo | Old Tappan </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Caracciolo completed 14 of his 21 pass attempts this past weekend as threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns. His strong performance helped Old Tappan to a 52-34 victory over Morris Knolls as he also rushed 14 times for 55 yards. He threw touchdown passes of 12, 33, 37 and 57 yards.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Analysis:</strong> The southpaw does a good job keeping his eyes downfield and has good pocket awareness as he’s not afraid to step up in the pocket or tuck the ball and run. He has strong throws on intermediate routes and showcases he has the ability to pop up after hard hits. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="190995" first="Matt" last="Welsey"] | Shawnee </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Welsey had his biggest game of the season as he completed 11 of 18 pass attempts for 278 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed seven times for 21 yards and an additional touchdown as his strong performance helped Shawnee defeat Northern Burlington 35-0. Wesley threw touchdown strikes of 19, 45, 50 and 60 yards.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Analysis:</strong> Wesley is a dual-threat who can get it done with both is arm and his legs. He throws a nice deep ball and does a good job in the RPO. When running he’s got good vision and hits the hole hard. </span>
<strong>Dylan Bonser | Wallkill Valley </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The junior signal-caller was 25 of 48 for 261 yards and one touchdown in a 13-10 loss to Kittatinny. He’s now thrown for 1,247 yards on the season with 8 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Analysis:</strong> Bonser has good scramble ability and is tough to contain within the pocket. He’s able to buy his receivers time when he scrambles and has the arm strength to deliver the ball into tight windows even if he doesn’t have his feet set to throw. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="28009" first="Dominick" last="Verducci"] | Parsippany Hills</strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior completed 20 of his 32 passing attempts while throwing for 248 yards and two touchdowns in Parsippany HIlls 25-0 shutout victory over High Point. In addition two his two touchdown passes he also ran the ball six times for 37 yards and an additional score.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Analysis:</strong> Verducci is a dual-threat who is able to extend plays with his legs. He makes good reads at the mesh point and does a good job getting his shoulders square to his target when he throws on the run. </span>
