If you want an all-around football player, look no further than Ord’s John DeRiso John DeRiso 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Ord | 2022 State NE . DeRiso was a key player during Ord’s 2020 championship season and decided to turn it up a notch during his senior year. DeRiso not only saw a jump in receiving yards and touchdowns, going from 391 yards and 4 touchdowns to 508 yards and 10 touchdowns, but John also stepped up in the running game adding 234 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, defense, and is electric as a punt returner. DeRiso is a straight-up athlete that can contribute to all three facets of the game. His strong hands, deep threat ability, and dangerous open-field skills make him a great receiver. John is also a physical defensive back that is aggressive when attacking the football. He is sticky in coverage and has taken on the task of lining up against opposing WR1. DeRiso’s hands shine on defense, too, as he racked up 9 interceptions in his 3-year varsity career. Don’t miss out on this athlete with a championship pedigree!

Senior year clip:
Gavin Logemann Gavin Logemann 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Archbishop Bergan | 2022 State NE | WR | Archbishop Bergan | 6’4″ 180
Logeman is a player that should be receiving more college looks. He sits on a loaded Archbishop Bergan roster, limiting his targets, but with a team-first mentality and A LOT of winning, Logemann has overlooked that. Gavin showed glimpses of the threat he can be as a junior with 602 yards and 11 receiving touchdowns. He only had 15 receptions in year 4, but 5 went for touchdowns, and he showed that he is unguardable in the red zone. With his 6’4″ frame and long, rangy frame, his high-point is higher than the majority of DBs in coverage. Logemann shows excellent body control and has the strength to hold on through contact. He’s not just a short-yardage option, as he can crank on the jets and take extended plays to the house. Underrated WR prospect with tons of upside!

Senior year clip:
Carson Lavaley | DL/OL | Wahoo | 6’1″ 235
Carson is not someone you want to run into on the football field. The Wahoo OL/DL prospect is vicious on the field and plays every snap to the whistle. Lavaley has shown continual development throughout his prep career, and he has been especially impressive on the defensive line. Carson keeps on getting better at collapsing the pocket and shutting down run games behind the line of scrimmage, ending his senior year with 50 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. He uses his strength to move players out of his way and continues with an endless pursuit of the ball carrier. Carson currently holds offers from Ottawa, Dakota Wesleyan, and Nebraska Wesleyan and should see this list grow.

Jacey Ballard Jacey Ballard 5'10" | 200 lbs | LB Boys Town | 2022 State NE | LB | Boys Town | 5’10″ 200
Jacey is a player that I’m excited to see play at the next level. Ballard is a typical linebacker that can lay some serious licks. He is relentless when he runs through his gaps and hones in on his target. Ballard is a really good athlete who can shake blocks with some finesse or do it the fun way and steamroll his way through offensive lines. Look at :38 in his senior clip, and you can see how he slid into the backfield untouched and stunned both the QB and RB; at that point, the two had to decide between a sack or tackle for loss butt-chewing from coach, all before Jacey came in like a hawk. He is a hard-working guy who is hungry and plays like it… get at him coaches!

Rashad Madden Rashad Madden 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Ralston High | 2022 State NE | RB | Ralston | 5’7″ 175
Rashad Madden Rashad Madden 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Ralston High | 2022 State NE is a super unique back that can produce in any way needed. He would be best described as a utility back and reminds me of NFL’s Tarik Cohen in build and play style. Madden is a physical runner with a mean stiff arm and tons of shiftiness/elusiveness to snatch ankles. In three seasons on varsity, he has racked up 3,338 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns. People underestimate him as a runner because of his size, but the Ralston player is very strong and generates tons of power from his legs. Considering you can’t even catch him, his height seems to be less of a problem with every highlight run. Rashad also forces defenses to respect his ability to catch coming out of the backfield. Madden is a consistent player that should produce in multiple ways.

Cole Murray Cole Murray 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Waverly | 2022 State NE | QB | Waverly | 6’2’ 180
This year, Murray established himself as a dual-threat QB and helped propel Waverly past an early-season skid and into the state quarterfinals. He is a great athlete who has repeatedly shown that he wants the ball in his hands when it matters most. Murray has confidence that radiates to his teammates, which then elevates the play on the field. He can see the whole field as the play progresses and makes intelligent throws. Tying the intangible to the tangible, Murray’s physicality, athleticism, and arm talent have made him one of the top QB’s in this class. Defenses also have to account for Murray’s ability to deliver on the run. He can roll out and make great throws when being rushed out of the pocket. Despite missed games, Murray was still able to throw for 880 yards,13 touchdowns, rushed for 458, and added 9 rushing scores which equate to a solid senior year. Schools should be itching to sign this warrior to their squad.
