Stat Stuffers: Running Backs

The following players listed have gashed defenses all season long and have put together some impressive highlight films. Their stat totals essentially speak for themselves and are a nice caveat to an already brilliant season. The group features a mixture of Power-Five recruits and relative unknowns in the recruiting world. Here's who you need to know. <hr /> <em><strong>Justin Thomas, 5'11", 180, Benedictine, Sr</strong></em> <strong>STATS:</strong> 1,780 all-purpose yards &amp; 27 touchdowns. Thomas can accelerate in an instant and quickly turn it up to his top gear. He's patient behind the line waiting for his blocks to set up and uses subtle speed changes to give defenders issues. He has enough speed to get to the edge and can burst through arm tackles with relative ease. He uses outstanding balance &amp; body control to make defenders miss at the second and third level. Brown can stick his foot in the ground and get north &amp; south once he spots a seam. He has enough speed to outrun the defense and will sidestep defenders that have an angle on him. Jordan catches the football out of the backfield well and is known for being quite slippery in space. He has experience lining up in the slot and has proven to be a matchup nightmare for opposing linebackers. If you over-pursue against this man, you don't have a shot as he'll calmly stick his foot in the turf and cut east &amp; west.
